About us

Welcome to the Microfluidic Technologies Laboratory at Technion‘s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The unique physics of fluids at the microscale holds both challenges in the understating of basic physical phenomena and opportunities in leveraging these phenomena toward new technologies.  Our lab combines experimental, analytical, and computational tools to study microfluidic problems characterized by coupling between fluid mechanics, heat transfer, electric fields, chemical reactions, and biological processes.  A central theme in our lab is the development of novel lab-on-a-chip techniques, devices, and assays for research and clinical applications in life and medical sciences. Research scientist and Lab manager: Seeking a PhD with experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a similar field. The successful candidate will serve in two “hats”: (1) a research scientist leading his/her own research projects (2) a lab manager in charge of students training, chemical safety, and equipment maintenance. Long term position (5+ years).
Postdoctoral fellow: Seeking a PhD who equally enjoys analytical modeling of physical phenomena and the design/implementation of experiments for their validation, for work in the field of fluid-structure interaction.   Background in fluid mechanics is ideal, but not a must. Excellent applicants from all disciplines of Physics or Engineering would be happily considered.   2 year position, with possibility for extension.
