Debbie Ocean gathers an all-female crew to attempt an impossible heist at New York City's yearly Met Gala.
When Lou and Debbie discuss recruiting Rose Weil (Helena Bonham Carter) to solicit her fashion designer services for the heist, Lou mentions that Rose was "big in the 90's" and that the Edwardian look was her trademark. This could be a reference to Bonham Carter herself as she starred in several popular costume dramas in the 90's such as 'Hamlet', 'Howards End' and 'The Wings of the Dove,' both of which were set in the Edwardian England era. The latter earned Carter an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.

Debbie Ocean:

Parole Board Officer:

The theme of the Met Gala is "European Royalty", yet none of the attendees are in keeping with the theme. Indeed, for an event famous for its outrageous, over-the-top haute couture, everyone is dressed as though their clothes came off of the rack.
