The service was fantastic from the bartenders to our server. They could not have been more helpful and friendly. The appetizers were great! We had amazing skillet corn bread that was incredible and Brie on bread, covered with a slice of apple. All the entrees were exceptional except for one. The pot roast was delicious! The tomato soup and grilled cheese was amazing. The sides of macaroni and cheese and mashed red potatoes were also very good. The most disappointing and most expensive dish of the evening was the seafood risotto, with lobster and shrimp. The lobster and especially the shrimp was way over cooked and as a result too tough. It did not taste good at all. The risotto had a very bland flavor that not even salt and pepper could help. It was disappointing, I was upset with myself because my initial instinct was to order a meat and potato meal. I think that would have been the better choice by far. We all shared a carrot cake, which was big enough for four people and was outstanding. It was the perfect ending to an almost perfect meal. I suggest they keep the "special" off the regular menu.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tar River Region is so thankful for the hospitality that we received yesterday at Ben's Chilli Bowl. The historic staple in the D.C community did not disappoint the 30 teenagers and 5 adults from North Carolina that ate lunch there. Everything from the chilli cheese fries to the chilli cheese burger was absolutely fantastic. Let's not forget​ the signature half smoked all the way. To top of the visit we had the pleasure of meeting the matriarch of the business Virginia Ali. Good food plus good hospitality equal happy teenagers.

Been a long time since I have gone out any where. Had a couple cocktails a couple shots meet so great people Terry the bartender hook me up with one of the best burgers I have ever had and I have had my share the people running the house were friendly would laugh with joke kid and was a great time. Terry again brother you are the man and took great care of us. Music was bumping as well. Thanks to everyone for a great time.

My father and I had a good meal at Le Diplomate. We split a carafe of the house white wine, which was a good accommodation for our meal. We split an order of escargots, which were deliciously flavored with butter and garlic. My father thoroughly enjoyed his Loup de Mer (sea bass) with fava beans. I ordered the garden pot au feu, which is why this review gets four instead of five stars. A traditional French pot au feu is defined by really anything you throw into a pot of water and chicken stock. Usually, however it includes some carrots, potatoes and leeks. This pot au feu had no carrots or potatoes and was heavy on mushrooms and spring peas, which would have been more enjoyable if the broth was not so salty. The salt and butter were overwhelming and I could not finish the dish. I'm not sure if this was an anomaly. The rest of the dining experience was perfect!

Visited the Chinese Disco back in April to see performance of my soon-to-be son-in-law who does clean comedy. I was pleased to see Patrick's seasoned and refined performance but was also pleasantly surprised by the place itself. The atmosphere was friendly, very orderly and respectful toward everybody present there. There was also another person committed to clean comedy, a young lady from Bethesda, MD. It turned out we had a good time there!

I was a lil skeptical at first however it was a fun environment that catered to all crowds and the drinks and music was on point. I would recommend this place to for a fun outing with friends. Plus DJ OZ knows how to mix

Our stay at the Trump International Hotel was outstanding. The place is beautiful as I expected and the service was unparalleled. Every employee was kind, helpful and courteous. They genuinely seemed to love their job. We have stayed in other 5 star hotels around the world, but the service here was by far the best. I think it is worth every penny. We enjoyed multiple meals there as well and they were creative, delicious and far from skimpy. We will definitely be returning.

Marriott Marquis, Washington, DC is one of the top hotel chains that I recently stayed and enjoyed. Very impressed with the architecture of the building. The rooms were spacious, fast n free internet, nice amenities, (fridge in the room, Keurig coffee machine), room service a couple of restaurants in the hotel. The hotel is centrally located to U Street & H Street were all the happenings are, jazz clubs, restaurants, all the museums, Monument, Capital Hill, etc. I recommend if you are travelling to Washington to stay at the Marriott Marquis Washington Hotel.

It was a beautiful zoo! With that said, we did not see many animals. Alot of exhibits were closed. For kids in the summer that can be a bummer. The kids petting zoo and playground was also closed. I know there was construction going on in the general vicinity so I'm not sure if it was due to that or normal zoo/playground hours. Again, tough for kids who are rounded up and escorted along throughout the day. To just walk through though it was a wonderful place. The small mammal house and reptile house were nice too. Easily could be given 5 stars with more animals on exhibit.

I'm from Philadelphia and I would never complain about the wharf... I always come for crabs shrimp and soup... I always get extra crabs in my order and yes it may take a little time for cooking food but it's worth it..my daughter got fried shrimp this time and they were good...every time I come to Maryland I try to make it to the The Wharf..

Although the monument was closed, the grounds are such a sacred space, my visit was in no way diminished. I was humbled at the depth of meaning that spoked from that hallowed place. The ability to stand around the base of the monument and look out over the mall was simply overwhelming. I'm forever blessed to have had the opportunity. I'll definitely return again.

Dear National Parks Services, I must say I'm a little disappointed with the lack of respect for our nation's monuments and memorials. These are not play grounds for children. These are places to honor those who have made sacrifices for our country. Furthermore, I spent a great deal of my time walking around picking trash up off the ground. With the amount of visitors coming to our Nations Capital to visit the monuments and memorials, I would expect you to have a plan to keep the parks presentable. I have visited Washington D.C. many times and I have never seen these parks look so bad. You should be embarrassed.

I have supported the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture since the early 2000s. I am very proud this historic building is located in my hometown of Washington, D.C. for many visitors around the world to visit. I will let you report my experience to you after visiting the museum. This is history making during my lifetime and blessed to experience this honorable building. Best museum in the city. It is definitely worth the money if you're into the subject (and let's be honest; who isn't?). I would call ahead and find out if they're expecting a field trip though. It can get a little crazy when the young ones (8-12 y/o) start rolling in. That age thinks very little about their effect on those around them. Obviously that is not a critique of the museum and is merely an extraneous consideration that can effect the enjoyment of the museum itself and that is why I rate it a 5/5.

Politics and Prose has now risen to the top of my favorite bookstore list. I attended the Kevin Hart photo op event. I was very impressed with the coordination of the event. I have attended book signings for over twenty years and this one was, by far, the best. It was very well organized and I loved the area that we got to take pictures in because it made being a part of this event even more special. Overall, I will definitely make return trips to Politics and Prose(I live about a 1 1/2 to 2 hour drive away, depending on traffic). I loved the setup of the bookstore and the selection of books and book related items. I could spend hours there and be perfectly content. I look forward to attending many more events at this bookstore. Also, I have to say your staff was very courteous and helpful.

I can't believe I just discovered this place and I'm leaving dc in a matter of weeks! I had seen Fantom many times but never actually went in until today. I admit I was wary of having to deal w the "fake geek girl" bs I get from time to time. But Fantom was not like this at all. Everyone was super friendly and there was a great selection of comics! (Including Serenity!) They also have graphic novels, apparel and some regular children's books. They have a calendar of really cool events including Comics & Cocktails that I plan to check out. Next time you are near DuPont check out Fantom Comics, really chill and friendly people!!
