Trivia

This is the third time Marlon Wayans and Essence Atkins have played characters in a relationship on screen, the first two being the parody-horror movie "A Haunted House," where she played his live-in girlfriend, and its sequel, where she returned as his ex. Both movies, along with "Marlon" were also written by Marlon Wayans. See more »

Very Funny
17 August 2017 | by – See all my reviews

My 12-year old daughter and I watched the Pilot episode as well as a subsequent one last night. We both thought it was very funny and entertaining. We could have done without the few sexual innuendos, but overall it was very funny and not too silly (for a Wayans comedy). I didn't know if it was going to be a goofy boyish-slapstick comedy, but it turned out to be very enjoyable for us girls. Marlon was silly as usual, but Essence made the show a little more serious which was a good thing. The daughter was cute and funny. Marlon's roommate/boarder was also very funny and likable. We can't wait for future episodes.
