Too many shots of actors' eyes, pensive looks (accompanied by
needlessly dramatic music), and otherwise needless time wasting that
does nothing to move the plot forward. We get the angst, but we don't
need entire episodes of it. Get on with it!
I enjoyed the shots of the islands. Was this series intended as a
promotional feature for Tourism Scotland? If that's the case, it works.
I want to visit. I want to ride that ferry.
Meanwhile, back to the ho-hum tedium of the case... Boring.
Were they writing/making this story up as they filmed it? Was that what
took so long?
