Trivia

Mulberry Woods is a fictional town in Nevada, USA which is the residence of Tuck, Alex and Munch, the film's three main characters, and the location of the spaceship Echo uses to leave Earth. Earth to Echo was actually shot in Santa Clarita California, which can be seen in a billboard advertising dental care for a few seconds during the film. See more »

Goofs

When the kids are driven through the desert by the government agents, there are many saguaros visible. This places them in Arizona, not Nevada where the story is set. See more »

Quotes

[first lines]
Tuck: All right, mom, I'm leaving. Spending the night at Alex's house so we can play a new video game.
Theresa Simms: [busy talking] Have whatever you want, honey.
Tuck: You know what, I lied, actually. We're gonna ride our bikes out into the desert, at night, alone. Without supervision.
Theresa Simms: [still busy talking] Okay, see you then, sweetie.
Tuck: Also rob a bank. Go to Mexico. Maybe even start a new life.

User Reviews

Not a good movie
20 June 2014 | by (USA) – See all my reviews

(1) It just steals the E.T. plot line without much improvement. It even steals the concept of finger touch in its poster.

(2) The bicycle riding, and echo saved them from the truck (E.T. make the bike flying), all too familiar.

(3) Echo as a character is very poorly presented and developed.

(4) The kids are not as adorable as those in E.T.

(5) The female character is added awkwardly, almost as an afterthought.

(6) This is the super annoying one, the found footage technique. It is not a horror movie, can we not use this for a kid's movie? It is just uninspiring.
