Admission

Admission to all exhibitions and public programs is free and open to the public.

Free admission to the Hammer Museum is made possible through the generosity of Erika J. Glazer and Brenda R. Potter.

Hours

The museum is open every day, except Mondays, July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

The Hammer is located at the corner of Westwood and Wilshire boulevards in Westwood Village, three blocks east of the 405 freeway's Wilshire exit.

Parking

Convenient parking is available under the museum. Rates are $6 for the first three hours with museum validation, and $3 for each additional 20 minutes, with a $20 daily maximum. There is a $6 flat rate after 6 p.m. on weekdays, and all day on weekends. Parking is cash only. 

Parking for visitors with disabilities is provided on levels P1 and P3.

Bicycles park free.

Public Transportation

Metro provides bus and rail transportation to the Hammer until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. For your best route, visit the Metro Trip Planner or call (323) GO-METRO or (323) 466-3876.

Or, take the new Metro Expo Line to the Westwood/Rancho Park stop, and transfer to a bus up to the Hammer. 

Attending a Public Program

ALL HAMMER PROGRAMS ARE FREE

While all of the Hammer's programs are free, many require a ticket. Tickets are available at the Box Office one hour before the program. One ticket per person; first come, first served. Early arrival is recommended. Check individual program pages for more details.

As a benefit for their support, members receive priority ticketing and can choose their seats, subject to availability.
