I just updated to 14.0.11 on my Mac with sanoma 14.5 and I noticed the fonts are no longer showing on the top of my edit user tool. The size option and bold and right middle left justification are still there. The font color is there, but there is no option to change the font as was always there. The user notes still has it. But not in the user tool.

	Any thoughts?

	Thanks

I am very surprised to hear you say this, as my question was concerning Accordance's POLICY. My question had been, "I thus have a general question about the Accordance policy. Does Accordance require original modules to be created, proofed and/or entered by individuals with a high enough proficiency in the applicable language, to avoid silly and obvious mistakes?" and neither over this thread or over this email, have I received an answer clarifying the policy. I hope that an answer will be given to me over email, but I am now left with the impression that I literally have over twice the formal education as what Accordance requires. Is that true? I literally don't know since the policy question has still not been answered.

I am very surprised to hear you say this as well, as this is not true. I did receive an email, but the email did not clarify the policy. So as of now I STILL do not know the policy Accordance has. Is Accordance's policy that someone just has literally half the education I do? Or is the policy that someone has at least the same level of education I do? Or is the policy that people have twice as much as I do? I have not heard one way or the other.

On a side note, what was the point of saying this here? If you had responded to my email saying this, I would have wrote this over email expressing that I still want to know the policy.

If not answering my policy question causes you to announce on the forum that you answered my question, it appears that the answer concerning Accordance's policy is that they don't have a policy. Maybe my mom (who has no Greek or Hebrew knowledge) should start helping out with original language modules. Can my cat help out?

Is version 14 a good investment?

https://forums.accordancebible.com/topic/36159-is-version-14-a-good-investment/?do=findComment&comment=193493

Thanks Steve!

MT terms translated by an LXX gloss

https://forums.accordancebible.com/topic/37499-mt-terms-translated-by-an-lxx-gloss/?do=findComment&comment=193492

I want to have a search that shows me the Hebrew terms that are behind a specific LXX translation. Unhappily, opening this site within Accordance does not let you play the audio.

Another way is to purchase the Accordance modules: https://www.accordancebible.com/product/hebrew-old-testament-audio/

With the modules you can listen by chapter or by verse.

Both the free website and the Accordance modules employ the same audio files. Actually the website has the ability to play at various speeds and to skip forward or backward 10 verses (it would be wonderful to have that in Accordance).

The steps are different depending on which method you use.

Hyperlinks in NFC to NFC Notes don't always work: implications for all non-English modern Bible modules with notes

https://forums.accordancebible.com/topic/37497-hyperlinks-in-nfc-to-nfc-notes-dont-always-work-implications-for-all-non-english-modern-bible-modules-with-notes/?do=findComment&comment=193486

Today I was reading part of Luke 1 in the NFC (Nouvelle Français Courant), and discovered that none of the note indicators (◊ or superscript letters) work. Meaning that clicking on them causes Accordance to "flash" but 1) doesn't open the NFC notes if they aren't already open and 2) doesn't locate and highlight the note. I began to explore, and discovered that in some books it works and in others it doesn't. I eventually sorted out the difference. This problem arises in any book where the first few letters of the French name don’t match the standard English abbreviations. (So, for example, Luc, 1 Rois, 2 Rois, Jean, 1-3Jean, Jacques, Nombres, Sagesse, Osée. Etc. *This is not a complete list*)

You can see what I mean—and probably learn more about what is going on if you open a workspace with NFC in one zone, and the NFC notes in another zone. If you navigate to Marc 1:1 in the NFC, and click on any of those note indicators, Accordance will flash, but the NFC notes tab/zone will not go to mark 1:1 or highlight it. Furthermore, if you look at the search box in the NFC notes tab/zone, you will see “Marc 1:1”. Accordance is unable to parse this.

I did some further investigating, and discovered that other international texts that have accompanying notes work, even when the book names are different than English. (In my library the only ones that fit that definition are the Cornilescu 2014 and the LEO G/K). For example, in Romanian, John is spelled Ioan. If you navigate to 3John in Cornilescu 2014, and click on a superscript, it will take you to the right place in the Cornilescu notes, and the book name in the search box for the notes tab will be 3John, not 3 Iaon. The same is true for the German LEO: If one is, for example, in James (Jakobus in German) in the LEO and click on superscript letter, you will be taken to right place in the LEO notes (LEO Ammerkungen), and entry in the notes/ammerkungen tab will be James, not Jakobus.

I also noted that in the case of both of those translations (LEO and Cornilescu), the book names in the “go to” box at the bottom of the tab are in English, while the book names in the “go to” box for the NFC are in French.

I vastly prefer the French/“native” book names in the goto box, but I’m guessing that is what is causing the problem.

I have reported this as a correction, but I'm mentioning it here in the hopes that @Dr. Nathan Parker can pass on to the module developers so this problem can be avoided in any new non-English Bibles that are produced. I also would like to make a feature request that a way be developed to show the Bible book names in the goto box in the language of the translation (as the NFC does and the LEO and Cornilescu do not) while *not* breaking the hyperlinking to notes files.
