Position Overview Footsteps seeks a skilled Social Worker to provide direct clinical support -- group and individual -- to Footsteps members, at our satellite location in Rockland County, NY.  They will be an integral part of ensuring that Footsteps meets our members’ emotional support needs and will play a central role in creating a warm, welcoming and safe environment for those who seek services from Footsteps.  The social worker will join the Support Services Team, which provides critical services to Footsteps’ members, and will build out our programmatic offerings in Rockland. Responsibilities: Provide support to Footsteps members through short-term individual counseling; provide wrap-around follow-up as needed Plan and facilitate new programs at Footsteps' Rockland space Build partnerships with external organizations/agencies in Rockland county and surrounding areas Work closely with Program Manager on Family Justice program to ensure quality wrap-around services are provided to members with children Refer members to community resources, including Footsteps’ partners and other referral organizations Facilitate peer support groups Conduct new member intakes as needed Provide crisis intervention counseling as needed, consistent with Footsteps’ organizational guidelines and in accordance with social work practices and NY State guidelines Document individual meetings, referrals and volunteer matches in Salesforce CRM Make comprehensive observations of Footsteps members, track and maintain confidential records and discuss members’ progress towards goals and needs with staff Provide [...]
