Stamp Highlight – Botanic Hello
January 20, 2017
We’re at our last day of our Stamp Highlights, but don’t worry! We’ve got some amazing cards up for our Designer Series later on! We’re showcasing the gorgeous florals in the stamp set Botanic Hello and it’s definitely my favourite for this month!
I stamped out the florals and coloured them in with my copics. I had so much fun colouring in these beautiful flowers and I wanted to make them all pink because these reminds me of cherry blossoms.

It’s a little hard to see, but I used my glitter pen and stippled the alphabets so they are a little glittery when you tilt it back and forth. I also flicked some white paint onto the flowers so the colours won’t look too plain. Flicking white paint, glitter paint or just water is a great way to add dimensions to a card!

Stamp Highlight – Swashy Letters
January 19, 2017
Hello and welcome back to another Stamp Highlight for Mama Elephant! Today we’re taking a look at 2 stamp sets – Swashy Upper and Swashy Lower letters!
These are some beautiful letters that are perfect if you’re struggling with calligraphy but you need to get some cards addressed in a fancy way 🙂

These are also perfect for custom sentiments! I needed a baby card for a newborn baby boy’s parents and created my own custom sentiment.

Stamp Highlight – Just a Note
January 18, 2017
Good morning! Hope you had a great yester-day when you saw all our projects for the Otterly Adorable set! Today, we’re looking at the Just a Note stamp set which is a perfect stamp for creating simple notecards.
I stamped the sentiment on my card which took up almost the entire card front! So I stamped in a little kitty from Little Cat Agenda to wish the receiver a happy birthday!

The sky was made by blending some blue ink after masking off some clouds.

I’m using the newly released For You Tag die which I absolutely love! It’s a fat and short die which is perfect if you have large critters that you’d like to use. There’s also a “For You” sentiment die that fits perfectly inside the tag die! For my project, I did some colour-blocking and stitched a piece of vellum to soften the colours before adhering the white sentiment. I love this perfect tag size!

For my project, I decided to do a very simple one layer postcard that would be very mail-friendly. I love going back to postcards nowadays, complete with those vintage stamps and a simple handlettered message.
I started by stamping the buildings from one of Mama Elephant’s October release set – City Sidewalks. I masked off the buildings to blend the distress inks in. I flicked some opaque paint and water to the ink to give it the effect of snow.

On the back, I stamped a few lines for where I would put the mailing address. Remember how all the postcards have a line in the middle separating the address from the message? Well, I decided to imitate that using the dotted die from Fine Trimmings!
