We need a host in Maidstone!
Q has been in Maidstone for some time while his case was processed- he goes to college there, and has friends and connections locally. He volunteers and plays football, and is really happy and settled.
His initial claim for asylum has now been refused, but, as you’ll all know that isn’t the end of the story. He’s going for judicial review (why is our asylum process so incredibly complicated?!) and we’d like to host him so he can stay locally.
...He’s described as an easy going person who is considerate and thoughtful- he is hosted now, so we know him really well.
We’d love to keep this young man nearby so he can continue his college course and stay near his friends- could you, a relative or friend offer a spare room for a few weeks or even months? (Judicial reviews can be quick or slow. Like so much about the Home Office, it’s not easy to predict)
Please share far and wide, comment and tag. Thankyou!
