@KnoxtechHQ I have an extremely confusing glitch with my iPhone, it shows the 5GUW icon on when I am on Twitter. If i do a speedtest the results look like LTE speeds and the service mode says it’s LTE but then the icon pops up the moment I open Twitter.

@OsoFresh138 @bwm121 @glxymom4 I don't personally have it but it's working fine over at my mom's. Free cancellation, so it's worth trying. Disconnect from your home WIFI and run the Speedtest app. If you get a good 5G LTE signal and it's over 50mb you should be fine.

@HazelynnRL And unsure what's going on with my internet. Speedtest shows no issues but it's very slow. I have rebooted the modem and router still same issue. Causing for long loading and applications to go unresponsive. Idk what the deal is but I'm already over it.

@Smokie42420 @SneedTech I noticed issues with T-Mobile too. When my speedtest would be great, usually over 500 Mbps I'd still notice Netflix being blurry.

@holman1124 @borgranta @SneedTech Signal isn't the issue. The issue is T-Mobile literally not working even when ones speedtest shows 400 Mbps. This is a common occurrence. Glad I'm on Verizon.

@iaantrovert Is this an internet problem, or a browser problem, or a windows problem?? But 3 things are for sure; speedtest results were normal, my phone's connection is great, and this insane loading times only happens on both my laptops (edge and chrome, other programs are bit alright)

@drex23 @inaoifeble I've never experienced an issue like this in all of my time having highspeed internet. My downstream is fine... 600+MBPs My upstream is zero... errors out on speedtest/etc. I can't even send something as simple as an email.

@saschasegan @rob22393314 @DennisBP3 Well, something you need to be aware with vis a vis speed tests is on-network vs off-network and the location of the server you're testing against. A carrier may have on-network speedtest servers but (as you say) issues with interconnects or not a lot of colocated CDNs

@bexelbie @theprincessxena @kellogh @apenwarr I test to see if I have network connectivity using @Speedtest or one of its peers. Pretty quickly I can see DNS resolution failure, ping and speed issues. Iirc there is an API for infra use which should also provide actionable quality data.

Please disconnect all the WiFi devices and leave one device connected with a LAN cable then run a speedtest.

@andrnils @BelkinCares Well, no, brand new device. Tried with ookla-speedtest cli. But on my m1 mac (~700Mbps) on a aarch64 arm running linux (~250Mbps). On the same connection with a rpi4 and integrated ethernet I get ~940Mbps. Is this device supposed to be able to handle 1Gbps, not just link at it?

@JonJohnJeanJuan Follow up on the solution. Context: @Speedtest app was showing ~30 MB/s down, ~6 MB/s up on my phone. Safari version showed 100 MB/s, ~60 MB/s up on same network. @AppleSupport ran through all troubleshooting. No fix. @Apple store reps said "Factory reset, no iCloud backup"

@g_fielding @virginmedia All are wifi. They have always been on wifi and have not had issues like the last 24 hrs. Speedtest is showing 3-8 mbps. I pay for 100 or 200mbps.

@DragonWolf5589 now its down to 20mbps... seems too be @Hyperoptic wide issue. if i use my mobile data on speedtest app. get over 200mbs on every server, but testing to hyperoptic is SAME poor speed as my ethernet and wifi connection. but status is showing green!

@altluu Welp, after another 20 minutes they asked me to run a speedtest to show that the problem is resolved even though I initially explained to them that the speed was ok when I started the chat and the issue is that the connection intermittent gets slow and/or stops working.

@Afrihost @omar_bamf Hi Omar, I am sorry for the late response, as well as seeing that your connection is bad. We need to figure out why this is happening. Please disconnect all your WiFi devices temporarily and plug your PC to the router via LAN cable then run a speedtest.
