Watching...

Bruce is watching one of our granddaughters

she is watching Wilbur,

I am watching all of them

and God is watching all of us.

Our weather has been very crazy....

snow, rain, above freezing, then very cold.

A glimpse

We took a short walk at Paradise Valley yesterday afternoon. Sunny here, but just 10 min. north, the clouds thickened and the wind blew. It is only January, but an eagle flew by as we pulled in our driveway. 💕

Eagles

Last week we watched an eagle fly very low over our property. On a whim, we grabbed the dog and my camera and found them...two of them... in our neighbors field. One landed in the tree above us, one flew to a tree farther away. Eventually they ended up in the tree together. We are no eagle experts, but it looked like they were mating.

Whatever we witnessed, we are hoping to see more of them in the spring.

Even youths grow tired and weary,

and young men stumble and fall;

but those who hope in the Lord

will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles;

they will run and not grow weary,

they will walk and not be faint.

We have enjoyed watching the eagle cam in Fort Meyers Florida.

Palmyra... nearest town down the street

We had a big outing to Palmyra last Thursday. Have Kleenex- will travel. I think the original saying was from a Western. To keep in character...I wore a mask.  I think we have turned the virus corner.  Looks like warmer weather coming! 🌤 And we had eagles visit. I need to download those pictures!

Good things

Like many of you, Bruce and I are battling a virus. I love how Bugsy finds a patch of sun....I watched a bubbble freeze in the garage. Good things. A sleepless night allowed me to hear this old praise song....unexpected joy.
"We are a moment, You are forever
Lord of the Ages, God before time
We are a vapor, You are eternal
Love everlasting, reigning on high"

New Years

I thought the house looked dark....so I turned on the lights on the bare tree.

Still dark.

Taking down the tree added the light.

New look for the new year and faithful promises.

A friend says she practices " sticky note faith". She doesn't nail her burdens to the cross, she uses sticky notes so she can take her burdens back again and again when she doesn't see God moving as she wishes He would. We know how well that works. The world's circumstances can overwhelm ...thankfully, we are not in charge. 😏

Standing on the promises I cannot fall,

Listening every moment to the Spirit’s call

Resting in my Savior as my all in all,

Standing on the promises of God.

Did it feel like a night any different?

Then at least a million before

Was there any rare expectation

Like there was some kind of somethin' in store

Did the sky have to hold back the thunder?

Did the moon find new reasons to glow?

Could the children somehow sense the wonder

2000 Decembers ago?

Were the sheep as amazed as the shepherds

At the new star that lit up the sky?

Did the willow trees whisper excitement

To the rivers and streams passing by?

Did the joy ricochet off the mountains

'Til it filled up the valleys below?

Did all the world sense love abounding

Was anyone able to look at the stable

The GOSPEL

Last year our church challenged us to take a picture of where we would share the gospel that summer. We were given a cutout of the word. GOSPEL. I put mine in the car window. We moved that summer....I saw the word gospel as I drove down new streets and passed new neighbors. And I took pictures out the car window. This unexpected illness changed everything, but with Bruce's help, recycled frames and coupons from Walgreens, I hope we are still sharing the gospel. I've been printing pictures and we drop them off at our neighbors. I could write volumes about the responses. I think both the giver and the recipient have been blessed.

Share the GOSPEL in any small way you can. We all have time and different talents to share.
Remember the true gift at Christmas....

But You came like a winter snow

New territory

A dear friend took me on a car ride to Dolton,Wisconsin, about an hour and a half from my home. I took over 100 picture out the car window....narrowed them down to my favorite 10....this was a new territory for me....I saved them and POOF! When I went to find them they were gone...completely from my computer...hard drive, recycle bin, and external hard drive. After an extensive search, I found these deleted ones. I'm glad the memories of good conversations, lunch by a river and beautiful views are forever in my mind.
