We’re excited that a family foundation has once again stepped forward this year and offered to double any gift given toward our end-of-year campaign, up to $8 million. Praise the Lord—what a blessing!

So what key ministry opportunities are we looking to fund with this dollar-for-dollar match?

Creation Museum Upgrade and Expansion

The Creation Museum’s popularity has significantly grown. Not only has guest attendance increased, but the amount of time that guests stay on-site has also grown substantially.

Furthermore, we believe the guest attendance will increase even more once we open the stunning conservatory exhibiting the plants of the Bible (an attraction in itself) and the outdoor stage soon, along with the opening of our new Creation Zoo. The museum’s existing café is often unable to meet the increased demand, and the museum can get very crowded at times.

We plan to add a larger main dining venue to the museum to accommodate and serve more guests on the Creation Museum property.

This dining room will open up a lot more space inside the museum to improve guest pathways and flow to the exhibits/theaters.

Once the staff has moved to HQ, work will begin to redesign some of the museum office space into an area to engage and impact children.

We plan to update and expand the bookstore.

A Message from Ken Ham

In this short video, our Founder CEO Ken Ham gives you an overview of this exciting project, along with information about what additional Ark Encounter upgrades/additions we are planning and details about our “AI Genesis” platform. We think you’ll be excited about what’s coming to our ministry across the board.

<video class="js-video video jsHide" src="https://assets.answersingenesis.org/vid/donate/eoy-2024-ken.mp4" poster="https://assets.answersingenesis.org/img/mediafile/preview_image/2024-donate-eoy-ken.jpg" controls="controls" analytic="2024 End of Year Campaign: Ken Ham"

Along with humankind, every land-dependent, air-breathing bird and animal was destroyed during the global flood—except for those aboard the ark. When the floodwaters subsided, Noah’s family and the creatures preserved with them on the ark were left to repopulate the earth.

But some may wonder how animal life spread all over the world after the flood. Noah didn’t drop off certain animal kinds in strategic locations as the ark journeyed to its final resting place. No, all the ark’s occupants disembarked at one location—the mountains of Ararat. How then did they manage to quickly fill even the far reaches of the earth?

While many factors were involved, a few major considerations may help clear up confusion. From the Middle East, mainland Africa, Europe, and Asia would have been relatively easy to access by land as populations spread. Additional land bridges also existed during the ice age, granting passage to other landmasses only accessible by air or sea today.

Ocean routes are another important factor. Though some animals were perhaps carried from shore to shore by exploring humans, many could have traveled alone on natural rafts resulting from the billions of trees uprooted during the flood and left to float along ocean currents.

With just these few considerations, we begin to see how populations could have easily redistributed throughout the world, filling it as God intended.

To learn more, plan your trip to the Creation Museum at CreationMuseum.org/visit and be sure to visit the lower level!

Up to this point in history, all of mankind shared one language, but a little more than a hundred years after the global flood, we see the rise of a new rebellion with far-reaching consequences.

Though God had directed mankind to fill the earth as they multiplied post-flood, they chose to do the opposite. Rather than “be dispersed over the face of the whole earth” (Genesis 11:4), they schemed to build a city with a high tower, intending it as a testament to their own glory and an avenue for remaining together in opposition to God’s command.

Armed with this purpose, the people began construction. But God, in his infinite wisdom, chose to intervene by confusing their language. Without the easy, universal communication they had always known, the people gave up their building plans and began to scatter by groups as they ought to have done from the beginning.

Babel, as the city became known, marks the historical splitting of languages and explains the language families we see evidence of in the world today.

Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth.

Skeptics often claim the Genesis flood was merely local and not worldwide. But in Genesis 7, we receive confirmation that the flood lasted over a year and, at its peak, covered all of the mountains 15 cubits deep—so there is no way it could have only been local.

As we look at our world, we see evidence of a global flood all around us. Such a flood had never been seen before and has not been seen since, but we can look to our own backyards and around the world to see what other catastrophes can teach us about the flood.

For example, when we observe a local river flood, we often see the erosion and deposition of less than 1/1000 cubic miles of sediment within minutes or hours. Yet the Mount St. Helens eruption took only minutes to erode and deposit an impressive 0.7 cubic miles of sand and mud. If these “quick” events leave behind such marks on the earth, just think what a global flood would have done—and an examination of the geological record does reveal similar evidence on a scale consistent with such a catastrophe.

When we take Scripture at its word, it’s clear that the flood of Noah’s day was indeed a global event—and geologic evidence only confirms that fact.

Learn more during your visit to the Creation Museum in our Flood Geology exhibit.

Learn About Science from a Biblical Worldview

Did you know that we have science opportunities to supplement your Christian school or homeschool curriculum? Both attractions have always featured zoos filled with a variety of animals that guests love to meet and learn about—and we’ve been hard at work all year expanding the Creation Museum’s Eden Zoo!

In addition to old favorites, a number of new critters are set to call the new Eden Zoo home. The expansion will include a wallaby walkabout where you can meet Bennett’s wallabies and tortoises up close and a new area featuring a variety of South American wildlife.

Meet some of the new additions below!

Anteaters

We are thrilled to add a giant anteater to the Eden Zoo! Meet Quinn, who was named after Cosequin, the #1 veterinarian-recommended joint supplement for animals. Cosequin is produced by Nutramax Laboratories, which has donated a generous amount of funding to help build the new Eden Zoo at the Creation Museum and to improve the Ark Encounter’s Ararat Ridge Zoo.

Giant anteaters are the largest members of the anteater kind, growing up to seven feet long and 140 pounds. Native to Central and South America, they use their two-foot-long spiny tongues to consume over 30,000 insects per day! Their sense of smell is 40 times stronger than a human’s, and they can identify each other by the scent of their saliva.

Quinn currently resides at the Ark Encounter’s Ararat Ridge Zoo but will eventually transfer to the new and improved Eden Zoo.

Bennett’s Wallabies

This species (part of the kangaroo kind) is native to Australia, but Jane comes from an accredited facility in Florida, and Kitty comes from an accredited facility in Ohio. Jane is currently 11 months old, and Kitty is currently 10 months old.

They will eventually join other animals in the Eden Zoo’s new wallaby walkabout, where guests can enter during select times to see them all up close.

Jane

Jane and Kitty were both raised by their mothers. As marsupials, they were only the size of jellybeans when they were born and were blind, deaf, and hairless. God designed them to know how to crawl up into their mothers’ pouches, where they finished developing over the course of about 4–5 months. They don’t start leaving the pouch until about 5–6 months old, and by 8 months old, they’re too big, and their mothers kick them out.

Kitty

That’s when our keepers adopted them and started hand-raising them behind the scenes. Since they’ll be in a walkabout habitat, it’s important that they get used to strangers and all kinds of sights, sounds, and smells.

Hand-raising these wallabies also ensures they are comfortable with any care they need, especially veterinary care. Our zoo staff have dedicated lots of time to caring for them, and they take turns spending the night with them at the zoo to ensure they get their bottles and stay happy and healthy.

During your visit to the Creation Museum, be on the lookout for wallaby sightings as our staff will be walking around with them to meet guests!

King Vulture

Meet Augustus, the king vulture!

Auggie is only 19 months old, so he has his dark, juvenile coloration. In the next few years, his face and neck will become a rainbow of red, orange, yellow, pink, purple, and blue colors. His body will turn white with black and gray markings.

With a wingspan of up to seven feet wide, king vultures are one of the largest New World vultures. As scavengers, they keep their Central and South American habitats clean by eating carrion, which also reduces disease.

Auggie currently resides at the Ararat Ridge Zoo and will eventually transfer to the Eden Zoo.

Aldabra Tortoises

Cashew, Macadamia, Peanut, and Pistachio are our new Aldabra (al-DAH-brah) tortoises. They will eventually join our wallabies, African spurred tortoise (Methuselah), and other to-be-announced species in our new wallaby walkabout.

They are two years old and come to us from the Emerald Coast Zoo in Crestview, Florida, a facility that supports our ministry. Zoo staff believe the tortoises are females, but it is difficult to know for sure until they are bigger and older.

Aldabra tortoises are a vulnerable species native to the Seychelles. They are the second largest tortoise species in the world, with the largest weighing over 670 pounds.

They may also live well over 100 years! An Aldabra tortoise named Jonathan currently holds the record of the oldest known living land animal at 191 years old.

Aldabra tortoises are very social and seem to enjoy the company of other tortoises and people, which makes them an excellent addition to the Eden Zoo!

Our Aldabras currently live behind the scenes, but you may see them out and about with their keepers during your visit.

These are just a handful of the new arrivals for the Eden Zoo, so start planning your trip today and learn more about a variety of exciting creatures once the zoo opens later this year!

David is one of the most famous figures in the Bible. As a young man, he killed the mighty Philistine Goliath with a sling and a stone. He flourished as a military commander under King Saul until the king sought to kill him because he grew envious of David’s successes and popularity among the people.

Following Saul’s death, David became the king of Judah and eventually ruled all of Israel, and it quickly grew into a powerful nation. His public achievements were marred by personal failures, particularly when he committed adultery with Bathsheba and plotted to have her husband killed in battle. Yet David, a man after God’s own heart, soon repented of those sins and wrote nearly half of the psalms in the Bible. He also made preparations for his son Solomon to build the first Jewish temple.

The Archaeological Record

Critics have long denied the existence of King David, claiming he was a legendary figure akin to King Arthur of British lore. The discovery of the Tel Dan Stele in 1993 vindicated the biblical record.

Tel Dan Stele (Image by Geagea, via Wikimedia Commons. Public domain.)

The inscription is attributed to Hazael, king of Damascus, whose brutal wars against the kingdoms of Israel and Judah in the ninth century BC (about 150 years after David’s reign) are recorded in the Bible (2 Kings 10–13). Written in early Aramaic, the text boasts of killing a king of “the house of David” (Aramaic bytdwd). “House of David” is used more than 20 times in the Old Testament to refer to the royal descendants of David who ruled the kingdom of Judah for nearly 400 years.

The wording of “house of David” may also appear on a damaged portion of the Mesha Stele, which was erected around 840 VB by Moab’s King Mesha. A single letter is missing after the word “house,” and the following two letters are the last two consonants in David’s name. The stone also mentions Israel’s God, Yahweh, and the “house of Omri,” a king of Israel and founder of Samaria (1 Kings 16:23–28). Later Assyrian texts identify the rulers of Samaria by using the phrase “house of Omri.”

Mesha Stele (Image by DopefishJustin, via Wikimedia Commons. Public domain.)

Did David’s Giant Foe Exist?

A small potsherd discovered in 2005 at Tell es-Safi, called Gath in the Bible, lends some archaeological support to the name of David’s giant Philistine foe, Goliath. Two names written on the shard are etymologically similar to Goliath. While this inscription does not necessarily mention the famous giant, it reveals that names like his were used in his hometown during David’s lifetime.

Tell es-Safi, Israel

Two New Explore Programs

Do you wonder if the Bible is confirmed through archaeology? Archaeology is the study of ancient man and civilizations. Join archaeologists Corey East and Tommy Chamberlain at the Creation Museum for our brand-new Explore program—Explore Biblical Archaeology.

Monday was a big day as our new conservatory received a major delivery—the largest delivery of plants for this major Creation Museum project. It took several hours to unload the trailer, and our site development and conservatory teams have begun the planting process inside the conservatory.

The conservatory (which consists of four glass greenhouses and a courtyard) will house a special collection of plants of the Bible. The largest of the four structures will highlight the Date Palms, Australian flora, and flowers for seasonal displays.. The other three will be set up for sub-tropical, Mediterranean, and arid plants, respectively. Each greenhouse is climate-controlled, and one includes a water feature.

Visitors will enjoy a self-guided walkthrough, finishing at a plant with many thorns that could have been the type used for the crown of thorns placed on the head of Jesus. In the tropical house previously mentioned, there will also be a special collection of Australian flora. Twenty-two years ago, our Founder CEO Ken Ham and his wife, Mally, were given what looked like a small stick. It was about two feet high and half the thickness of one’s little finger. It was an Australian bottle tree.

Mally nurtured this until 2016 (pictured below), when they gave it to our attractions horticultural department. This tree was placed in the queue line gardens at the Ark Encounter each spring, summer, and early fall and then put back in one of our heated greenhouses for the winter.

Our horticultural department took great care of this tree, and last week they had a special ceremony for Ken and Mally to plant this tree as the first plant in the conservatory and as the beginning of the Australian plant exhibit. We also planted a plumeria, which is called frangipani in Australia.

We are excited to see plants in the conservatory!

We have to fill in the missing details about what happened to the dinosaurs based on our worldview—our starting points. We all have the same fossils, the same facts, and the same evidence. Our beliefs about how the earth was formed shape our interpretation of the evidence.

Fossils Give Clues

There are still many mysteries surrounding dinosaurs. We know they are specific types of land animals that were created, along with man, on day six (Genesis 1:24–27), but they have since gone extinct. So we are left to wonder how they lived, what they looked like, and what they ate; and we especially wonder what happened to them. How did a group of animals that left fossilized footprints on every continent eventually cease to exist? The fossils contain clues about these mysteries, but we still don’t know the whole story.

Paleontologists who believe in evolution have all sorts of ideas for why dinosaurs are no longer here. Some suggest that an asteroid struck the earth or that many huge volcanoes erupted simultaneously, causing dinosaurs to go extinct. As a consequence, some say the dinosaurs that survived those blasts starved to death, while others say they died of overeating. However, these scientists don’t have the full story because they don’t start with the eyewitness account of creation that God gave to us in his Word, the Bible.

Paleontologists who believe that God created the earth in six days as recorded in the Bible have a different answer to this question about dinosaurs. These scientists conclude that most of the dinosaurs died in the global flood.

So why did the dinosaurs that survived the flood on Noah’s ark eventually go extinct?

The dinosaur kinds that Noah took with him exited the ark into a vastly different environment. They, along with other now-extinct animal kinds, died out due to competition for food, a post-flood ice age, other post-flood catastrophes, or maybe even because people killed them for food or sport.

Start planning your visit to the Creation Museum today, and be sure to visit our Flood Geology exhibit to learn more!

As visitors walk through the exhibit, they will see a remarkable, lifelike Protoceratops in the process of being buried. Based on fossils found in Mongolia, this display will contrast naturalistic and biblical interpretations of the circumstances involved in the burial of this creature. Guests will discover that the biblical flood provides the best explanation of the evidence. Incredible graphics and content will engage readers as they learn about this world-changing event.

Check out these pictures to see how this project has progressed.

Early concept illustration for this exhibit.

This exhibit will be opening later this year.

Dinosaurs continue to captivate us long after they last roamed the earth.

Construction is continually advancing on the Creation Museum’s Eden Zoo. The newly renovated and expanded zoo will not only display your old favorites but also a variety of new and unique species.

The alpacas, chickens, donkeys, doves, goats, and pigs have been enjoying their temporary stay at the Ark Encounter’s Ararat Ridge Zoo while their habitats are redesigned and rebuilt. Our animal ambassadors have remained on-site to engage visitors during our daily animal programs and keeper chats.

Alpaca and donkey habitat under construction

Alpaca and donkey habitat under construction

Goat and pig habitat under construction

Goat and pig habitat under construction

In addition to a farmyard where guests can enter during select times to interact with our goats, the Eden Zoo will also include a wallaby walkabout. At certain times, visitors can walk through this habitat and meet our new Bennett’s wallabies, Aldabra tortoises, and Papuan eclectus parrots.

Bennett’s wallabies have been a staple at the Creation Museum’s zoo, but the Aldabra tortoises and Papuan eclectus parrots will be new species. Aldabra tortoises are the second largest tortoises in the world, with the heaviest weighing over 670 pounds. They are also believed to be the longest-living land animals today, with individuals estimated to be over 200 years old. The brightly colored Papuan eclectus parrots were once thought to be two different species because the males and females look so different from each other.

Wallaby habitat

Aldabra tortoise habitat

The renovated Eden Zoo will also include a South American expansion featuring exciting species from this unique continent. New South American coatis will join our white-nosed coati in a habitat that is designed for them to share. New Patagonian maras will delight guests with their antics, and several more surprise species will also be featured in this new area.

South American expansion

South American expansion

Finally, construction has begun on a new outdoor stage sponsored by Nutramax Laboratories, the makers of Cosequin, the #1 veterinarian-recommended retail joint health supplement. Here, guests can watch daily animal programs and engage with our animal ambassadors. During ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum, the stage will be transformed into a live nativity featuring animals associated with the account of Christ’s birth.

Pouring concrete for live animal stage

Live animal stage space

Live animal stage space

The new Eden Zoo is expected to partially open this summer, with new sections opening as they are completed and as the animals arrive. The next phase of construction will include a butterfly house and an indoor cabin displaying a variety of small animals. Stay tuned for behind-the-scenes opportunities too!

So, not all dragons could be called dinosaurs, but all dinosaurs could have been dragons. Dinosaurs are land-dwelling animals that have legs directly under their bodies.

Some reptiles are mistakenly called dinosaurs. For example, the dimetrodon, which had legs out to its side, is not a dinosaur. Plesiosaurs, which are marine reptiles, and pterosaurs, which are flying reptiles, are also not dinosaurs. But all of these animals could be referred to as dragons!

Dragon Legends: Fact or Fiction?

Legends of an ancient flood exist in hundreds of cultures around the world. A large number of these traditions share common elements with the biblical flood described in Genesis. For example, many of these stories assert that man’s wickedness brought divine judgment upon the whole world and that eight people and some animals survived aboard a large boat.

The Bible provides the historical account of the worldwide flood. By carefully comparing these legends with God’s Word, we see that many of these traditions have distorted, embellished, or lost information about the actual events.

Similarly, cultures from all over the globe also have dragon legends. Epic battles between gallant knights and fierce dragons are rather common, and descriptions of these beasts are often very similar to those of dinosaurs.

Of course, ancient people would not have called them “dinosaurs” since that word was coined in 1841. Carvings and cave paintings of these monsters have been discovered. Some of these dragon legends contain mythical elements, while others likely lost all the true details and retain nothing more than tall tales. But in many cases, the dragons were viewed as real animals. Do some of these dragon legends actually speak of dinosaurs?

In the Bible, God told Job about two creatures that could be considered dragons: the Behemoth and the Leviathan. Some Christians suggest that these are mythical monsters, but the mention of Behemoth and Leviathan in the book of Job follows the descriptions of about a dozen real animals. Furthermore, why would God tell Job to consider two beasts that did not even exist?

Get answers to these questions and more when you visit the Creation Museum. Start planning your trip today!

For believers, that is our response—we are wowed by our Creator’s creative but highly ordered design.

From the tiniest of cells to the largest kinds of the created world, the purposeful order of our world beautifully displays God’s intelligent design. Through scientific advancements, conception has now been redefined as the processes that occur from fertilization through embryo implantation in the womb. As with many terms that are being redefined today, it is critical that believers understand what has changed and why, so that we are not deceived into believing unbiblical ideas and so that we can be a voice for truth.

Since the term “conception” has been more broadly applied to these processes, it is no longer the correct term to describe the moment when life begins. In fact, using the term “conception” to describe the moment when life begins is downright dangerous. The only term to use, and the biblically sound term to use to describe this moment is “fertilization”—the moment when the father’s DNA combines with the mother’s DNA within the egg.

Why Does it Matter?

We understand reproduction in greater detail than ever before. With that increased knowledge, questions naturally arise. Questions like “When does personhood begin?” and “When do the unborn feel pain?” The questions themselves aren’t wrong or bad, but the consequences of those questions have been devastating to unborn life because we live in a fallen world.

We now know that the first cell holds all the information that the baby needs to grow; Christians recognize that this is life—a human being made in the image of God. For those who do not value the life of the unborn, they have reduced this miracle of life down to nothing more than a clump of cells through this redefinition. Once they have convinced themselves this “clump of cells” isn’t life, then they can justify murder. But those “clumps of cells” are outdated arguments proven false by this increased understanding of the journey of life before birth. It is a lazy phrase designed to deceive and ease the conscience of the conflicted.

The more Christians understand the terminology and the science, the more clearly they can understand the issues for themselves and intelligently speak to them when given the opportunity. Some people understand and admit that abortion is killing a child and will further admit that they just don’t care. But there are also people who just need help to understand the actual science and think through the ethics better, people who can be reasoned with and who will respond to logic and appeals to ethics and morality.

The more prepared we can be to give a defense to the world on all that the Bible speaks to, the more effectively God can use us to be a witness for his truth and good news.

Want to learn more and better prepare yourself to speak about the miracle of life? Well, it’s “Who am I?” Questions of identity are soaring, with identity-based content on social media platforms like TikTok garnering billions of views and internet searches like “Am I gay?” or “Am I trans?” jumping each year.

And we want to help young people find their true identity—an identity grounded in God’s design from creation and the gospel of Jesus Christ. That’s why we’re designing a brand-new exhibit for the Creation Museum—Radiance.

This beautiful new exhibit space will focus on our identity as an image of God’s glory. If you’re familiar with the Creation Museum layout, this new exhibit will go where our Discovery Hall currently is.

This exhibit will be powerful for young people, pointing them to God’s Word as the unshakable foundation for their questions, including the question of “Who am I?” We are thrilled that we continue to produce cutting-edge exhibits that exalt God’s Word and deal with the big issues of our day.

These photos will give you an idea of what the new exhibit space will be like as our artists and fabricators make mock-ups to test their designs.

We can’t wait to share this new exhibit with our guests.

When you visit the Creation Museum, you will find that the first series of exhibits teaches people how to think. We help visitors understand that everyone has a worldview—a way of thinking. And ultimately, there are only two foundations that determine one’s worldview—God’s Word or man’s word. Your worldview then determines how you interpret the evidence of the present in relation to the past.

One of the examples we use to help explain this has been one of the pride and joys of the evolutionary world—“Lucy”! Lucy was once considered to be a “missing link” in human evolution. Now she’s considered a close relative. But, Lucy is not a relative of any human as Lucy was a member of the ape kind!
<blockquote class="instagram-media" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink="https://www.instagram.com/reel/CztTTjDOBaH/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading" data-instgrm-version="14" style=" background:#FFF; Even when words are absent, it has a great capacity to convey meaning. When you look at a piece of art, remember that it speaks for the artist who crafted it to tell a story.

Consider these depictions of australopithecine heads, cast from the same mold as the “Lucy” figure. Despite looking very different from one another, their sculpted details are identical. Only arbitrary details set them apart—things like hair, eye, and skin colors, as well as hair length and coverage.

Whether filling in missing bits of skull, surveying a bony surface for muscle attachment points, or choosing skin tones based on specimen location, degrees of assumption attend every stage of reconstruction. Ironically, the more superficial elements—things that represent the biggest unknowns—are often most effective in conveying a broader narrative.

For example, artists who wish to communicate that australopithecines were human relatives usually add human eyes and hair patterns. Those who wish to show that australopithecines were more like other apes will take inspiration from familiar varieties like gorillas, chimpanzees, or orangutans.

There is nothing wrong with using art to communicate. But these examples demonstrate at least two important things: how art can be used to shape public opinions, and how preconceived ideas can significantly impact art. Art, like the tongue or written words, can be a powerful tool for good or ill.

Art always speaks, so ask yourself what it is saying.

Of course, evolutionists use art to try to indoctrinate people in their evolutionary story, in this case, that Lucy was a supposed relative of humans. Now, when you look at the actual evidence found for Lucy—a number of bones—what you observe is totally consistent with Lucy being of the ape kind, not a relative of humans.

Start planning your visit to the Creation Museum today, and learn more about how our worldview shapes the way we interpret the things around us.

The Creation Museum boasts a powerful pro-life exhibit, Fearfully & Wonderfully Made. This exhibit features lifelike baby models, stunning special effects, and detailed biblical and scientific teaching that will have you marveling over how God knit each of us together in our mothers’ wombs. It also answers important questions such as, “When does life begin?”

This question lies at the heart of some highly contentious issues in our world today. But, from a medical standpoint, there’s only one logical answer: life begins at fertilization, when the chromosomes from the sperm and the egg combine, forming a genetically unique individual.
<blockquote class="instagram-media" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink="https://www.instagram.com/reel/C1reOucNA3G/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading" data-instgrm-version="14" style=" background:#FFF; Thus, ending human life via abortion or euthanasia carries no moral implications and is consistent with the evolutionary philosophy built on death and suffering.

Biblical Worldview

Since the Bible states that all people are made in the image of God, all human life, from fertilization until death, has unlimited value. Thus, the termination of human life through abortion and euthanasia are antithetical to the biblical worldview.

Can God Still Love Me?

This question has been asked countless times by people who have struggled to come to grips with their past. The truth is that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Humans have rebelled against our perfectly holy God in every way imaginable—theft, rape, murder, etc., and we deserve to be judged for our sins.

Other than Jesus, our biblical heroes were flawed individuals. Moses, David, and Paul wrote huge sections of the Bible, yet they either murdered people or condemned innocent people to death. Jacob deceived people, Rahab lived as a prostitute, and Peter denied Jesus three times. But all these people found God’s love, grace, and forgiveness.

It is difficult to understand why God would be willing to forgive people who have done terrible things. However, this notion overlooks the fact that every sin is a crime against our Creator, and it fails to account for his amazing love for humanity.

God loves his creation, and he has provided the means for us to be forgiven. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died in our place on the cross, paying the penalty for our sins. Then he demonstrated his power over death when he rose from the dead. Forgiveness of sins and eternal life are promised to whoever believes in him (John 3:15–18; Acts 10:43).

Start planning your trip to the Creation Museum today, and be sure to visit the Fearfully & Wonderfully Made exhibit to get equipped with biblical answers about the sanctity of life.
