October Thank Yous

Happy Wednesday!

Today I am sharing the card I sent to my Stampin' Up! customers thanking them for their October on-line orders.

I stamped the Fall image from the Happy Scenes stamp set, made post-it note masks, and sponged the bottom with Old Olive and the top with Marina Mist. Markers were used to add some quick color to the leaves and pumpkins. As my Hearth & Home Thinlits Die Set was on backorder, my friend Diana was kind enough to let me borrow hers so I could get my cards made. I am happy to report that my Hearth & Home Set has since arrived!

Here is a side view:

The finished card is a standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 size, made with a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of card stock. With the card stock portrait style, starting one inch down and one inch in, cut down to 5 1/4 on both sides. Turn the card stock to landscape style, working from left to right, score at 1, 2, and 5 1/4 on the outer sides of the cuts. Also score at 4 1/4 on the inside of the cuts. Then simply mountain, valley, and mountain fold. Hope that makes sense!

Here is the back of the card and the coordinating envelope:

I like the large sentiments in the Six Sayings stamp set, especially the fancy Thankful stamp. The September Paper Pumpkin stamp set has seen a lot of ink lately.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies used:  Delightful Dijon, Soft Suede, and Whisper White CS, Delightful Dijon DSP, Daffodil Delight, Delightful Dijon, Marina Mist, Pumpkin Pie, and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, and Real Red Markers, Doilies, Hearth & Home Thinlits Dies, and Happy Scene, September Paper Pumpkin, and Six Sayings (host set) Stamp Sets

IBSIC 100

Happy Sunday!

Welcome to my Inspired by Stamping post. Today is our group post featuring IBSIC 100!

On the 15th of each month, a new IBSIC is posted. You may follow the Color, Sketch, and/or Theme. As we are celebrating the 100th IBSIC, there will be four randomly chosen participants who will each receive a $20 GC to the Inspired by Stamping Store!

We also have four choices of Color, Sketch, and Theme inspirations for you this month.

Here are the inspirations for IBSIC 100:

My inspiration came from the last sketch and the nature theme:

I wanted a 'rustic-looking' card so I started by doing the weathered or faux woodgrain technique. I have a pictorial for creating this technique here and another sample of it in blue here. I used the Autumn Blessings stamp set for all the stamped images and the coordinating cut file for the wreath and leaves.

Here is the inside:

This sentiment is also from the Autumn Blessings stamp set.

The link to enter IBSIC 100 is open until 10:00 AM ET on December 13 (11:59 PM Brisbane time on December 14). Inspired by Stamping products are not required to enter, but if you do use them your entry will be counted twice! I look forward to see what inspires you.

Please visit the Inspired by Stamping Blog to see the full list of designers featuring IBSIC 100 cards today.
