Daily Art Practice
Hi there! I have been spending time creating. I started a daily art journal and have been spending as much free time as possible sketching, drawing, painting and of course, sculpting. I do something every day, even if it is a small sketch or mixing watercolors to see just how many colors I can mix from just 10 tubes of paint.
I did this to improve my skills but have found that it has done so much more. It helped me find my real self that I had lost in the grief of losing many family members and friends who passed away in less than 6 years. That was not my intention but I am glad it is happening.

Sleeping Mice
I have an idea in my head for a 2 part sculpture that I am working on. Each part will be made from different media and made to go together but will not be permanently attached. One part will be wool, the other clay. I am not quite where I want to be with the wool part yet. Still playing and practicing. Here are a couple of practice mice.

Smooshing clay mushrooms
For this project I was supposed to look at mushroom and fungus photographs. I used Pinterest and saved them to a board there. Then the goal was to find ones that I liked and take artistic license to change colors, textures and put them together even if the real ones grow on different continents. To make them my own. . It was a fun project and I am happy with my results.
