For my newest next (unblogged) project happening all too soon, I am helping an organization in a project where educators most likely new to the concept will be setting up a Domain of Their Own (yes, of course, supported via Reclaim Hosting). And as many know, the result of people's first ...
If all goes well with the mechanics of scheduled posts, by the time this one reaches the front page of this blog, Felix and I will be well on our way. Where? A few places, but mainly just on the road. About 6 years ago I posted too of a longer trip, with ...

Here I share an idea for a Fall course that has almost no substance yet, but at least it has a hashtag ;-) This is all a direct consequence of the collaboration between me and Mia Zamora in running the open Networked Narratives course at Kean University where I co-taught and ...

The name of the band is subject to argument, but like those Brits in 1970 rocking atop a roof, at the Domains 2017 Conference something happened atop a rooftop in Oklahoma City. And then after the conference, weirder stuff happened -- people went home and fired up good old fashioned blog ...
At a session today on "Deep Learning" at the ASCUE17 conference Steve Kenode lauded the merits of advanced machine learning, like Deep Mind's "learning" the best way to play Breakout https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1eYniJ0Rnk I did appreciate the schematic way he explained it for a lay audience (including me) with the way weights are assigned ...
