Octavia Spencer Named “Hasty Pudding Woman Of The Year”

Octavia Spencer who earned a Golden Globe nod for her “Hidden Figures” performance is set to receive a huge honor. The Academy Award winner has been dubbed Harvard University’s 2017 Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year.

Previous honorees include Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren and Kerry Washington.

The Hollywood Reporter reports:

Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer has been named 2017’s Woman of the Year by Harvard University‘s Hasty Pudding student theatrical group. The Oscar winner and Hidden Figures actress will be honored — and roasted — Jan. 26 at the organization’s first-ever live-streamed ceremony.

The group stated in a release that they are “proud to honor an actress whose depth of talent has captivated audiences with her comedic wit and her graceful portrayals of the underrepresented.”

The Woman of the Year honor is given to performers who have made lasting contributions to entertainment. Established in 1951, the Woman of the Year has been given to Meryl Streep, Katharine Hepburn, Julia Roberts, Jodie Foster, Elizabeth Taylor, Lucille Ball, Anne Hathaway, Claire Danes, Helen Mirren, Amy Poehler and Kerry Washington.

In addition to being honored, Octavia and her “Hidden Figures” costars are continuing to buy-out movie theaters so low-income families can see the inspiring film.

Despite admitting that he’s dirty dogged her in the past, Tammy Rivera is wishing her husband Waka Flocka a happy anniversary.

Tammy who previously said it’s “weak” for women to leave a cheating man, took to IG this weekend to post her marriage certificate to her rapper hubby.

After three years of marriage and 7 years total, the two are still going strong.

Porsha Williams Speaks On Phaedra Parks’ Dating Life

Porsha Williams, who’s the self-proclaimed “frick” to Phaedra Parks’ “frack” is speaking on her bestie’s singledom.

As previously reported Phaedra is officially divorced from her scamming-ex Apollo Nida (despite his numerous motions to contest it), and she might be looking for love.

According to Porsha, she knows EXACTLY what kind of boo Phae Phae needs; a man who’ll love not only her but her sons Ayden and Dylan as well.

Via Bravo’s Daily Dish:

“[Her] kids, they still talk to their dad [and] they still have a relationship, so he’s there. [She needs someone] not to take his place, but someone who can be there and they see their mom being loved on,” said Porsha. “Somebody who is going to love her kids and really be a good man and be a good example.”

She also revealed that she and Phaedra are working on a dating app. Oh lord…

“Now that she’s single and I’m ushering her into the single world, we’re like, ‘We want to do an app that would be a safe place for women and men who are serious about finding love.’ So she and I are really concentrating on that and really trying to make it interactive,” she said. “We’re gonna be very involved in this app and helping people find love.”

President Trump Reacts To Women’s March Protests

After MILLIONS in all 50 states and 70 countries marched in solidarity for the #WomensMarch, the Cheeto elected to the White House is reacting.

As previously reported celebrities including Rihanna, Kerry Washington

Janelle Monae, Debbie Allen,

Madonna, and Ashley Judd hit the streets with countless global protestors who disagreed with this past election cycle’s insulting, demonizing and threatening of women, immigrants, Native Americans, Black and brown people, people with disabilities and sexual assault victims.

And while the protests were praised by people who agreed that a man like Donald Trump doesn’t belong in the White House, the Donald himself (of course) had to react.

The New York Daily News reports:

Those big crowds are still bothering President Trump.

The new President, on his second day in office, criticized the participants in Saturday’s Women’s March in Washington, D.C. and talked up his own TV ratings from the inauguration.

“Watched protests yesterday but was under the impression that we just had an election!” Trump tweeted Sunday.

“Why didn’t these people vote? Celebs hurt cause badly.”

Trump also boasted about the television draw for his inauguration on Friday.

“Wow, television ratings just out: 31 million people watched the Inauguration, 11 million more than the very good ratings from 4 years ago!” he wrote.

In a tamer tweet, though, Trump seemed to accept the opposition.

“Peaceful protests are a hallmark of our democracy. Even if I don’t always agree, I recognize the rights of people to express their views,” he said.

So who wrote this passively Presidential azz tweet for Trump?
