By invitation; This group will gather to engage one another around areas of common interest and concern as theological school leaders. In particular, the group will reflect on the post-election political situation and its ramifications for the vocation of Asian/Asian-descent theological educators.
By registration; This free webinar will present highlights from the Fall 2020 Entering Student Questionnaire (ESQ). The presentation will cover data from the revised ESQ including new or expanded data on work hours and dependent care, educational debt, online education, and the vocational goals of students. Particular attention will be made to unique features of this class of students entering theological education in the midst of COVID-19. This webinar is designed for academic administrators and would also be beneficial for any faculty and board members who are interested in trends in theological education.
By registration; Join other ATS Student Personnel for a two-part learning experience to help us deepen our understanding of design thinking and increase our capacity to lead design conversations on campus to address presenting issues. Participants will be introduced to design thinking during a live webinar on February 4. They will then be invited to gather and lead a group at their own institutions to put design thinking into practice. The two-week experience will conclude with a final live webinar on February 18 to reflect upon what has been learned. Along the way you’ll be supported by a Canvas course that will include content from the webinar, a space to interact with peers, and opportunities to ask questions of presenter Jana Holiday.
By invitation. An annual conference to provide African American presidents, deans, and chief academic officers of ATS member schools the opportunity to discuss areas of common interest and concern. The theme for this year, What Do You See Now? Leading in Liminality, is inspired by the biblical reference Haggai 2:1-5. The gathering will focus on inspiring professional development, strategies for thriving, and strategic leadership during a season of ambiguity and disorientation.
By registration; Development/communication professionals benefit from sharing best practices related to administration and management strategies, and legal issues in areas of institutional advancement. With the pivot to virtual experiences, ATS is pleased to offer this session as the first of three learning experiences for development and communication officers during this year. This gathering, designed for new and veteran development/communication personnel, focuses on four key content areas: the art of fundraising, the science of fundraising, communication, and leadership. Monday, February 15 through Thursday, February 18, participants will be engaged in an asynchronous Canvas course that concludes with a Zoom meeting on Thursday, February 18. On Friday, February 19, development/communication officers will join other school leaders in a webinar designed to explore how other units across the institution can play a pivotal role in the achievement of their schools' development/communication goals and objectives.
