Q. Where can I return library books after hours?

Patrons who wish to return books to the following Yale University libraries after normal business hours may use any of the following bookdrops:

Sterling Memorial Library

There are two book drops at the main entrance to the library on High Street.  A third bookdrop is located by the entrance on York St.  When the library is open, there are two indoor bookdrops as well; one is located just inside the doors of the High Street Entrance and the other is located in the Franke Periodical Reading Room.

Bass Library

One bookdrop is located outside the vestibule closest to Wall St.

Center for Science and Social Science Library

One book drop is located across from the CSSSI Prospect Street entrance and the other is located outside of Rosenkranz Hall, Leet Oliver Memorial Hall, (third floor foyer). Please see http://csssi.yale.edu/bookdrops

Cushing/Whitney Medical Library

The book drop is located inside the Cushing/Whitney Medical Library, by the entrance to the Medical Library.  A Yale ID is required to enter the Medical School after 6PM.

Divinity School Library

The indoor book drop is located in the corridor outside the library.  An outdoor book drop is located along the north driveway behind the Divinity School.

Engineering & Applied Science Library

A book drop is located at 17 Hillhouse Ave.

Lillian Goldman Law Library

The book drop is located in the foyer outside of the Law Library main entrance on the third floor.

Robert B. Haas Family Arts Library

The book drop is located inside the Loria Center, outside of the Art Library.  A Yale ID is required to enter the building after 6PM.
