Video: Perfectly Perfect Watercolor Card

Hello, friends!

Erum here with a new card featuring the Perfectly Perfect Stamp Set.

Altenew Perfectly Perfect Stamp Set | Watercolor 36 Pan Set | Erum Tasneem | @pr0digy0The color combination for this card comes from a card that I created before joining Altenew. You can view it HERE.

First, I stamped several flowers and leaves onto watercolor paper with Clear Embossing Ink. Then I heat embossed these with the Antique Gold Embossing Powder.

Altenew Perfectly Perfect Stamp Set | Watercolor 36 Pan Set | Erum Tasneem | @pr0digy0

I used the new Watercolor 36 Pan Set to color the images. For the flowers, I used Cotton Candy Watercolor and Grapevine Watercolor. To color, I applied water to the petals with the help of a water brush and spread around diluted pigment of Cotton Candy Watercolor. Next, I added Grapevine Watercolor pigment closer to the center of the flower to show depth.

Altenew Perfectly Perfect Stamp Set | Watercolor 36 Pan Set | Erum Tasneem | @pr0digy0After coloring all the flowers, I moved onto the leaves for which I used Espresso Watercolor. When the images were dry, I used the Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine to die cut these.

Altenew Perfectly Perfect Stamp Set | Watercolor 36 Pan Set | Erum Tasneem | @pr0digy0Next, I used the Our Family Frame Die and die cut a frame out of Spicy Yoghurt Cardstock. I used foam tape to pop this onto the card front. This will be a decorative element to “frame” my floral bouquet.

Altenew Perfectly Perfect Stamp Set | Watercolor 36 Pan Set | Erum Tasneem | @pr0digy0I arranged all the floral elements on the card front by adhering them on different heights of foam tape. Next, I heat embossed a sentiment onto black cardstock and applied Gold Glitter Tape on one edge of the sentiment tab.

In the end, I added a few rose gold sequins.

That is all from my side today. I hope you enjoy the video below or over on YouTube.

Video: Lydia’s Crafty Corner- Pop Art Florals

September 7, 2018 By Lydia Evans in Daily Inspiration 3 Comments

Hello everyone and happy Friday ! It’s Lydia here with you today sharing a fun technique to create pop art looking florals. I saw a card by Tasnim using this technique and really wanted to try it out for myself.

I started by stamping a the largest square from Halftone Squares Stamp Set onto white cardstock, I stamped it three times for each color. The colors I used are Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss, Heart Beat, Just Green and Sweet Leaf. I then took Fantasy Floral 3D Die Set and cut the flower layers and leaves from the stamped squares.

Once all the layers were cut, I adhered the flowers together using glue tape to create this fun pop art look.

For the card base, I took a white card base and adhered a Jet Black Cardstock panel onto it at an angle. I felt having the black behind the die cut floral images made them pop so much more! I adhered the flowers and leaves onto the panel using foam tape for the flowers and glue tape for the leaves.

As I didn’t want to take to much focus from the floral images I added a simple sentiment strip. To do this I stamped a sentiment from Forever And Always Stamp Set onto a strip of Jet Black Cardstock using Embossing Ink and heat set using Pure White Embossing Powder. I cut this strip at an angle at one side to add a little more interest.

To see how this card came together you can watch the video below or over on our YouTube Channel:

Two Cards with Celebrations Paper Set

September 6, 2018 By Svitlana Shayevich in Cards, Daily Inspiration 14 Comments Tags: Artist Markers, Build A Flower Carnation, Celebrations Paper Set, Floral Frame, Layered Rose

Hi, friends!

Svitlana here. Today, I want to share with you two cards made using the Celebrations Paper Set from the Celebrate You Kit. This 6×6 set has 12 very beautiful and unique designs. It is one of those paper pads that will make you cry when cutting it (at least I do).

For my first card, I used a very beautiful sheet with gold confetti falling down. I immediately thought of a party, a wedding invitation or a wedding card.

As it usually is when a patterned paper is used – the card was very simple to make.

First, I embossed two sides of the floral frame from the Floral Frame Stamp Set using Rose Gold Embossing Powder.

I also stamped a floral cluster from the same set in Citrus Burst Crisp Dye Ink using a stamp positioning tool, colored it with Warm Sunshine, Mango Smoothie, and Buttercream Artist Markers and also embossed the outlines with Rose Gold Embossing Powder.

Then I fussy cut all mentioned elements using my scissors.

I made an A2 card base out of Solar White Cardstock and trimmed an A2 panel out of the patterned paper sheet, which I then adhered onto the card base. Followed by adhering the floral frame flat and foam mounting the floral cluster on the top.

I die-cut a sentiment out of Gold Foil Cardstock using Script Words Die Set and adhered it onto the card.

For the next card, I used very elegant white on a gray woodgrain-looking sheet from the set.

I trimmed a narrow panel from this sheet and popped it onto a card base made out of Moonrock Cardstock.

Then, I stamped two carnation flowers using the Build-A-Flower: Carnation and Citrus Burst, Fresh Lemon, Maple Yellow, and Honey Drizzle Crisp Dye Inks. After that, I die-cut them using the matching die from the set.

I also die-cut three leaves out of Real Gray Cardstock using the Layered Rose Die Set.

Next, I started assembling the card. I adhered the flowers and leaves in the top part of the card. Then, I die-cut a sentiment out of Solar White Cardstock using Script Words Die Set and adhered it below the flower cluster.

I finished this off by adding several white crystals.

Have a wonderful day!

Wasn’t that inspiring?! Speaking of inspiration, we’ve got more of that for you! Our Build-A-Flower: Carnation Project Inspiration Guide is packed with design inspiration for both new and seasoned crafters. Get inspired and start creating!

CAS Floral Birthday Card with Geo Frames Stamp Set

September 5, 2018 By Aga in Cards, Daily Inspiration 1 Comment Tags: Birthday Builder, Garden Silhouette, geo frames

Hello, everyone! It’s Aga here and today I have a clean and simple floral birthday card to share with you.

I started with white cardstock for the base of my card. Using images from the Garden Silhouette Stamp Set, I stamped a floral background for my geometric frame. I inked the images with two or three inks for some simple shading and I used the Green Fields Set for most of the elements here. To break the monochromatic green palette, I stamped some images with Dusk and Desert Night Crisp Dye Inks.

Next, I stamped my geometric frame from the Geo Frames Set with black on a piece of white cardstock and cut it out with the coordinating die. To finish the card, I stamped my sentiment from the Birthday Builder Stamp Set and popped it up with a foam tape.

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

~Aga
