'Love'

Hello Everyone!

Rach with you to share two layouts for July....

My first layout 'Love' has lots of gorgeous chipboard!

2 Crafty Chipboard used:

Graceful butterfly

ATC - Tiny Butterflies

Indian Feathers

Hibiscus

Love flourish

Jewellery Strands

The 'Love Flourish' has a thick coat of gesso & finished off with some fine splatters of blue...

The delicate 'Jewellery Strands' have a very light coat of gesso, cut in half &
 placed top & bottom of the photo of my girl......

The gorgeous 'Graceful Butterfly' has a couple of coats of gesso,
then inked with a Distress Dark blue ink....

The 'Hibiscus' also has a coat of gesso & then inked with a Distress pale pink....
 Finished with some blue fine splatters & micro beads & beads.

The 'Indian feathers' have a coat of gesso & inked the edges with a teal ink....

'Capture'

'Capture' layout which features one of my nephew's....

2 Crafty Chipboard used:

Bubble words
Domino tiles
Mixed buttons
Polaroid frame
Mini word set 1 (Capture word)
Funky Arrows

On my background & underneath my photo is a negative chipboard piece for a extra
 dimension layer, then I have placed some Domino tiles on & around this negative piece,
 then given all this chipboard a light coat of gesso....
To create a bit more interest to the background I have inked 3 of the domino's with yellow ink!!

I have added a couple of the Funky arrows which have been inked black!

With the Mixed Buttons, I wanted them to stand out & have heat embossed them with a white....

The bubble word (COOL) where I have cut away the triangle piece & the Capture word
 from the Mini Word Set #1 both have a couple of coats of gesso....

For the Polaroid frame, I started by giving it a coat of gesso, once dried I gave it a
spray with a royal blue mist & adhering the frame it to the photo!

Today I have two layouts to share with you. The first features my grandson Henry.

He is getting cuter every day !

2Crafty Chipboard Used..

Caution Cute Kids at Play - title

Chain Circle Frames

Bubble Clumps

Mini Fast Forward Arrows 

I have based my layout on the July challenge over at

Anna's Craft Cupboard.

 I have used this chippie title, "Caution Cute Kids at Play".

I just snipped off the "S" off the end of kids & cut the "at play" off also.

I always love altering my chipboard pieces !!

I painted this title with "Silks Paint in Teal Zircon".

Next up I used some of the "Bubble Clumps" in between 

my layers & some "Mini Fast Forward Arrows"

which I simply coloured black with an ink pad.

I also used one of the frames from the "Chain Circle Frames" set & I painted 

this in a metallic acrylic paint called "Gunmetal". A great metal looking paint. 

 A little mixed media on my background using some Lindy's Stamp Gang 

"Time Teal Travel" Magicals & some "Grab A Guy Gold Spray",

some stamping & some Prills & acrylic dots.

All finished !!

For my second layout today I have gone for a girly fantasy theme.

"Love"... Fairies

For my second layout I have taken inspiration from another two online challenges

& I have created a fantasy fairy layout. I found this photo on Pinterest & just had to use it !!

Ariel's Spray

Challenges by Mixed Media Place & 13arts Challenges.

 After first doing my mixed media background I started on  my chipboard.

I firstly basecoated everything with white paint.

Here you can see I used the word "LOVE" for my title from 2Crafty's

"Fine Word Set #1". I painted this with some Silks Key Lime paint.

Here you can see the gorgeous "Angel Wings" that I brushed on some 

Lindy's Stamp Gang "Sassy Saphire" Magicals. I also added some 

sparkles to them to make them stand out. Hard to see that in the photo!!

 Across the top of my layout you can see the "Ariel's Spray" which I gave a coat of 

Crackle medium followed by some Lindy's Stamp Gang "Sassy Saphire" Magicals. 

 I just adore those angel wings stuck onto the photo like this !!

Lastly I finished off with a scroll from the Scroll Set #3 along the right

side of my layout which I treated the same as I did the title word.

Ooops I never mean't to totally cover it with my flowers though !!

"Making Memories"

Hello everybody !!

Today, it is my turn to present my two inspirations for July.
I made two pages.

  For the first one, I wanted a vintage spirit using this old black and white photo
 of a little girl I found on Pinterest. To accentuate this vintage style, I used a
 background looking like wood and aged and ripped wallpaper.

2Crafty Chipboard Products used:

- Word Circles Set 1

- 12x12 clockfaces

- Ava's Frames

- word "Making Memories"

As usual, I created a fairly loaded mixed media background. 

To highlight my chipboards, I embossed them in different colors. 

I love the "Ava's Frames" chipboard, I find it beautiful and I embossed it in white. The round part surrounds my photo to enhance it. The foliage is decorated with flowers.

The "Happy" word from "Word Circles Set 1" is embossed with white powder.

The title "Making Memories" is embossed in sky blue to make it stand out

 from my yellow background.

You can also see in the close-up the foliage part of "Ava's Frames".

I made this page using the following moodboard from Mixed Media & Art:

"Happiness"

For my second project I chose to make a page with a combination of colors

 I don't often use: green, red and brown.

I painted all my chipboards in different colors to make them stand out

 and create some depth.

2Crafty Chipboard Products used:

- Line Words - Happiness Borders

- Birds Set

- Harlequin Clumps 

- flourish adornment set 5

- Flowers with leaves

The "Flourish adornment set 5" foliage is painted white and I added drops 

of green ink on it. I love the finesse of its drawing.

The title "Happiness" is painted black and the "Harlequin Clumps" chipboard 

 is painted white. I added green drops of ink on it

Another chipboard I find very lovely is the "Flowers with leaves" chipboard.

 I like its big size which dresses up a page very well. I painted it in white and 

added drops of green ink on it.

I also added two birds that give the impression they're taking off from 

the "Flowers with leaves" and I simply painted them in green.
