10E2308: Statriot Western American Tuxedo - Giveaway

I do like a good "western" shirt. Have been part of my uniform since the invention of eBay - it was all the fault of those Sears & Roebuck catalogs from the 1970s.

Not entirely sure if the name of Statriot Designs is a contraction of State and Patriot or maybe owner Scott has an accounting side job so thinks Stats are a Riot... In any event the latest release from our new friends in Mon-truckin-tana is this Western American Tuxedo and he is giving one away today on 10engines.

This unisex shirt (printed in Montana on American-made, American Apparel shirts, 50/50 cotton/poly - ladies size down) riffs on Nudie Cohen pearl snaps, rhinestones and all the rest. Badass eagle has your back... The images on the shoulders are of a yucca plant (left) and a Bitterroot - two examples of the plant life out west.

To win: visit the Statriot Designs site then come back here and leave a comment below with your second favorite shirt design name and size preference. Will pull a winner at 5pm EST. We have a winner - Heather via Facebook. Pick a size. #winnerwinnerchickendinner

10E1990g: New CUPPOW lid. Regular sized. Giveaway

The guys from Fringe (in Union Square, Somerville MA) are back with a second CUPPOW lid now sized to fit 'regular' mouthed Ball jars. Since day 1 of their Mason-jar-lid project people have been asking for this follow up item, especially the Mason jar-attached to-blender crowd... This second lid also introduces STRAW-TEK formed to secure small to large straws #bosoxreference?. They don't crow about it but a new design scheme also reduces the cardboard packaging by about 30% as well. Machined in the USA (Massachusetts I believe), still $8. Their FB has a list of brickmortar retailers; link. BTW Kid, don't drink that...

Giveaway: Have 1 of these new lids to giveaway. Leave a comment or RT and winner announced at 5pm. [Update twitter user @Draketland was pulled as the winner of the CUPPOW lid. Congrats to him and thanks to everyone.] We have a bunch of the small "quilted" Ball jars somehow - and now that the heat is on we're all over carrying a constant glass of cold water so perfect timing; sidenote 100% behind DrinkWater too. Bet you have a few jars kicking around too... #repurpose

On a related note; the gents of CUPPOW will be the next speakers at the Somerville Public Library in the Arts/Design series  -  late July or early August (we just had Aaron 'Field Notes' Draplin speak so the bar is set pretty high...). Follow facebook.com/friendssomervillepubliclibrary or @Friends_SPL for more info.

giveaway -cuppow

Turn a canning jar into a travel mug... This is genius on several levels but have to admit I like it even more cause local guys and ladies dreamed it up. And created all the media for it as well.

The one thing that always struck me about buying a dedicated travel mug was the amount of resources that must have gone into making the mug in the first place. The cuppow lid takes an existing object (the good ol' Ball jar) and transforms it into an acceptable drinking vessel with only a slight modification -the changed lid. Going to say the obvious right now; this would probably work great with cold, non-caffeinated drinks too...

Durable, made in the USA, BPA free, recyclable, and it doesn’t break the bank. Buy yours for $8 here.

Great video below featuring a critical mass of Somerville's Fringe studio types all highlighting the product and ensuing media for it. They have been good enough to offer a giveaway to a 10engines reader; leave a comment or RT this and I will pick one from a hat at end of day. Over. Reader @jgothorpe won it.

I went and bought mine w/ cold hard cash 30 seconds after watching this clip...

nogginflogger hot sauce -review / gift for you

NogginFlogger hot sauce brewed in Maine by a chef/dad/blogger Peter Dockendorf, sent in to 10e for a taste test. Not hot hot, i.e. you won't ruin your dinner, and almost no vinegar overbite -good. Wouldn't mind seeing a hotter version too perhaps? But this is squarely in that zone of fruit/heat/smoke. Ingredients: Aged Cayenne Red Peppers, Distilled Vinegar, Dried Chili Peppers, Spices, Lime Juice, Garlic, Salt, Onion.

Tried it on fried chicken and scrambled eggs. Lathered it on the chicken, v v good. I have an extra bottle to giveaway - first one to comment gets it.

giveway -poler stuff

Get in on the groundfloor here...
Poler makes sleeping bags, tents, and bags that don’t require hundreds of buckles, shiny plastic do-dads everywhere, and enough velcro to choke a camel.

It’s for people that look at most outsdoorsy stuff and wonder why everyone is trying to pretend they are going to do first ascents on alpine peaks instead of celebrating the fact that they are having adventures that are awesome in their own way. It is for people with a sense of humor that do stuff outdoors.
Easy giveway here. Poler handwarmers and a killer medium tee. No picked at random, no SAE, no quiz... The 10th person to RT, tweet, repost, comment, or email me w/ "10engines/Poler", wins. 10th, get it... All over. Jared wins.

Swag provided by the venn diagram loving, sly dog copywriting people at Poler; thx Benji.
