Amazon’s Retro Zone is partnering with four popular Twitch streamers Nov. 14-15 to stream retro games that are available on the Amazon Appstore and compete in speed runs against viewers. Fans who post the fastest speed runs of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 or Metal Slug on each of the streamer’s Twitch pages, linked below, will have the chance to win one of four Fire HD 8 tablets, plus those who visit Retro Zone before November 15 at 11:59 p.m. PST can enter for a chance to win one of four SEGA Flashback Consoles.
Below are the streamers who will be participating:

Sonic Forces makes a big gamble. What if Sonic were out of the picture for a lengthy amount of time? What would happen? The resistance is born with Knuckles at the helm and is stretched thin trying to defend from Eggman. Enter YOU! Can you help restore the world from Eggman’s clutches?

Sonic Boom season 2 will be coming to a close this weekend with the season finale called, “Eggman: The Video Game” and it will be a two-part episode series aired back to back.
I’ve seen and it doesn’t disappoint. In fact, it’ll make you wish why the rest of the series wasn’t more like it.
The general plot: Eggman is tired of getting the short straw so in order to boost his reputation, creating a video game starring himself seems like a good idea. But he needs a little help as he doesn’t really have the best hand to hand combat skills. Enter Shadow and trouble ensues. Maybe even the end of the universe!
Expect nonstop action, Shadow, and even another familiar face will be returning. I don’t want to spoil it though.
Both episodes air this Saturday at 6PM ET (and then 6:15) on Boomerang.

Celebrating the imminent launch of Sonic Forces, various Sonic items have launched on Nintendo's rewards program, My Nintendo. Along with 50%-off discounts for various Sonic games on 3DS and Wii U (including the excellent 3D Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2), three other rewards of note are included:
The 3DS theme in particular is only available until the 16th, so grab it while you can!
Eurogamer has conducted an interview with Nakamura on Forces, Mania, and the Future of Sonic. We’ve summarized a few key points but there is much more in the full article at the link below.
The site might look a little different to you today. This is because we thought it might be time to give it a massive UI overhaul. As you can see it gets a lot of cues from Sonic Mania.
You can toggle the comics listing on the main page by clicking the 2 column icon in the top blue bar. (Looks like this)
The comics section now allows for the future offerings from IDW. Placeholders for now. The Sonic Forces comic will also now appear there as well under "Other"
We also now officially have a new forum! Sonic Blast! This replaces the half baked forum that was here before. (The one at sonichq.net/forum). The old school Mobius Forum, still exists however. It was recently moved from Yuku to Tapatalk but there's very little activity there. (Or Ezboard -> Yuku -> Tapatalk if you haven't been keeping track.)
There may still be some bugs. They will get squashed.

Looks like we are getting a Sonic Forces comic after what seemed like a joke at the town hall earlier this week. Starting today, we'll be getting a 4 part digital comic series leading up to the release of Sonic Forces. Ian Flynn is also writing it! It's also free!
Today, SEGA® released the first chapter of a new Sonic the Hedgehog™ digital comic series that is based on the highly-anticipated video game, Sonic Forces™. The four-part comic series is scripted by fan-favorite writer, Ian Flynn, and serves as a prequel to the video game counterpart. Chapter 1 titled “Moment of Truth” features Sonic Forces’ Custom Hero Character and the Chaotix as they prepare for battle against Dr. Eggman’s sinister robot army.
Chapter 2 should be released later this month.
