Our 14th annual event was held at the Mark Hopkins Hotel
- New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Heather Graham
- Author/Red Sneaker Writers founder William Bernhardt
- New York Times bestselling author/Activist John Perkins
They were the keynoters for 2017 along with 100+ presenters at this year’s event including bestselling authors, literary agents, editors, and publishers from major publishing houses. There were experts on self-publishing, book promotion, platform building, social media, and author websites. The San Francisco Writers Conference has one of the largest faculties of any writer’s conference to ensure the best networking with the people who can help you get published.
The event is packed with 100+ sessions for writers–from the craft of writing to the business of publishing. There is copious networking with the very people who can advance your writing career; a glorious opening gala; two keynote luncheons and breakfasts; lots of social interaction with other writers; and evening Open Mic readings and pitch sessions. There will be exhibitors with services and tools for writers, too.
Elegant keynote luncheons are included in the registration fee as is the Welcome Gala on Friday night. All attendees get a commemorative tote bag filled with writing goodies! No other writing conference offers so much social and one-on-one networking time with other writers and industry professionals. After-hours hosted open mics, poetry happenings, and pitch contests? You bet. Don’t want to eat dinner alone? There is a no-host dinner every night from Wednesday to Sunday at a different San Francisco restaurant. Our attendees tell us this friendly yet professional atmosphere is what makes SFWC the conference they choose to attend.
Not included are the accommodations. Click here to read about the Mark Hopkins Hotel and be sure to take advantage of the special $229 SFWC Rate available at the Mark Hopkins (based on availability).
From start to finish, the San Francisco Writers Conference is designed to help you become a better, more professional writer.
