FENS is the voice of European neuroscience. With 43 neuroscience member societies across 33 European countries, FENS as an organisation represents 24,000 European neuroscientists with a mission to advance European neuroscience education and research.

FENS meetings and events offer a wide range of learning- networking- and professional development opportunities. Learn about current topics in your field of interest, network with top figures in neuroscience, meet with your European peers whether from basic, translational or clinical neuroscience research, and share best practices with colleagues from around the world.
FENS actively supports graduate education and postgraduate training in neuroscience in Europe through a variety of initiatives. A new training framework launched in 2014 proposes appealing activities for students, post-docs and early career neuroscientists. Looking ahead and supporting the next generation is a key priority for FENS.
FENS, also in collaboration with its global partners (DANA, EBC, IBRO and SfN), aims to increase public awareness about the benefits of brain research. In addtion, FENS is committed to providing solid advice to policy makers and stakeholders on the importance of continuous support for brain research in order to solve the burden of brain-related diseases in Europe.
Excellent science is communicated through EJN, the official scientific journal of FENS and relevant and timely information is disseminated through the FENS bi-weekly news alert and by targeted emails to FENS members.
Federating numerous pan-European single discipline societies and all national neuroscience societies from across more than 30 European countries, FENS represents European neuroscience from basic to clinical research.
FENS-Kavli Scholars aim to improve neuroscience in Europe through providing opportunities for young scientists, influencing science policy and facilitating the exchange between science and society.
