What Our Advertisers Are Saying
We’ve never been big on advertising but Archer Avenue’s all around high quality led us to try it out. The respect our ad was given really blew us away, and the caliber of the other sponsors as well as [their] professionalism convinced us we made a good decision. The best part is knowing that everyone who hears about GitHub on 5by5 is someone we want hearing about GitHub.
Chris Wanstrath, GitHub
Archer Avenue has been a valuable long term partner of ours in helping to increase awareness of our platform. The team at Archer Avenue genuinely cares about the companies they work with, and that comes through in every ad.
Ryan Stansky, Squarespace
Archer has been a surprisingly effective advertising channel for us. There’s no doubt the talent on their networks is top notch, but we’ve been amazed at how many people have joined MailChimp as a result of hearing our ads. Our goal in sponsoring is essentially a branding exercise - that so many listeners end up becoming MailChimp customers is icing on the cake.
Mark DiCristina, MailChimp
The thing about advertising with Archer is you know your sponsorships will reach customers who actively seek and use quality products. It’s an audience that appreciates a good relationship with service providers. A side benefit is the back catalog of shows. Your ad can still reach people months after originally airing because new listeners come along all the time.
Brian Stucki, macminicolo.net
We’re not big on advertising or marketing, so for us the key thing is a good fit with a vibrant community that "gets us". That’s exactly what happened with our sponsorship. When we became a sponsor, it was like we were suddenly embraced by a wide spectrum of innovators, geeks and power users. Archer was hitting the sweet spot for our core demographic. Measurable results followed.

Dan is the founder of Archer Avenue, which began as the ad agency within 5by5, the podcast network he launched in 2009, now one of the largest and most prominent podcast networks. Dan is a broadcaster, programmer, and designer, and has written for A List Apart and O’Reilly.
Dan's lifelong love for talk radio and podcasting give him a strong sense for finding the best sponsors for the right broadcasts.
Haddie Cooke joined the Archer Avenue team in 2012 as our first full-time employee. She worked side-by-side with Dan at 5by5 as Sr. Producer, but her enthusiasm, energy, knack for problem solving, and easy-going nature lead to her current role as Account & Sales Manager, where she works with advertisers to create the perfect campaign and find the best match between sponsor, show, and audience.
You know that great ad spot you just heard on your favorite podcast? There's a good chance she wrote it.
Shlok Vaidya has a background in building technology and content businesses. He once wrote a fictional book about Apple and used to work in counterterrorism. Shlok started as a podcast guest but began advising 5by5 and Archer Avenue on strategy and growth. He now works to expand the number of world class shows, advertisers, and, of course audience members.
Shlok's wide range of experiences help the team know to how to match new kinds of sponsors to an ever-growing list of broadcasts.
Bailea van den Brink studied Sociology and Advertising at the University of Texas at Austin. With an ever growing interest in design, technology, and marketing, she continues to explore her passion as Archer's Sales Associate by matching sponsors with the most receptive audience.
