There's a historical line in "progressive" music which always continued. In the '80's and '90's the musical challenges are to find elsewhere than in '60's and '70's. Music still is extremely interesting nowadays (and I can hardly notice everything because there has been an explosion of creativity since a few years, and many genres have creative souls that have something original to offer). You still need a nose and an eye for music to find out where the real creativity lies. And also, the world is big. These pages review some selections. (The term 'prog' nowadays means something different already and refers hardly to what was "progressive" in the early days. Some people like to call more of the interesting stuff "psychedelic" or "psych", but some of the new inventive music could still be called "progressive" too -in the very old sense of what that means-... But this wise grandmother just says "Oh what do I love music".
