Business licenses are available to legal entities, including companies and organizations (both for-profit and non-profit), which require the software for general commercial use.
You're both a developer and a content author. You need the complete XML development features and the visual XML-editing mode.
You're an XML content author. You want to edit content in text or visual mode using DITA, DocBook, or a customized framework, or just plain XML. You're not interested in XML development tasks, such as modifying stylesheets and schemas.
You're a developer. You create XML Schemas, develop XSLT stylesheets, XQuery, or XProc. You're not interested in visually editing XML.
You're a publisher. You need to automate the transformations of DITA/Docbook documents to WebHelp output for desktop and mobile devices, using command line scripts, outside of Oxygen XML Editor.
You're a developer who uses automated scripts. You need to do any of the following things using command line scripts, outside of Oxygen: (1) Automate the production of XML Schema documentation, XSLT Schema Documentation, or WSDL Schema Documentation, (2) Flatten an XML Schema, (3) Generate XML instances from XML Schemas, (4) Perform a validate and check for completeness operation on an entire DITA Map.
The upgrade can be purchased to bring up-to-date an older version of the same product type (Developer/Author/Editor), edition (Professional/Enterprise) and license model (user-based/floating).
You need to automate the transformations of DITA/Docbook documents to WebHelp output for desktop and mobile devices, outside of Oxygen XML Editor (e.g from a command line).
It provides unlimited technical support and allows you to upgrade to all Oxygen versions, either minor or major that are released within one year from the purchase date, at no additional cost. The Support & Maintenance Pack Renewal can be bought only within a period of 14 days after a previous Support & Maintenance Pack has expired, or bundled with a new license. One Support & Maintenance Pack license covers one license of Oxygen.
You need to automate the transformations of DITA/Docbook documents to WebHelp output for desktop and mobile devices, outside of Oxygen XML Editor (e.g from a command line).

The license key you receive contains the maximum number of user sessions that can simultaneously access the Web Author at any given moment. After a period of inactivity, the license allocated to that user session becomes available. While no personal information is sent to the server, a cookie that identifies the user session is auto-generated. Note that the use of two different browsers (for example, Firefox and Chrome) by a single user, will consume two floating licenses. However, using two or more windows or tabs of the same browser accounts for a single floating license.
