Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr Masagos Zulkifli, opened the inaugural CleanEnviro Summit Singapore (CESS) Catalyst 2017 to more than a hundred and fifty participants including leaders and technology and service providers of the environmental services industry. The National Environment Agency (NEA) received feedback through the media that some members of the public reported hazy conditions throughout Singapore and an acrid smell in Pasir Ris this morning.

Thundery showers fell over Singapore in the late morning and early afternoon today. For the rest of the day, cloudy conditions are expected, and the prevailing winds are forecast to blow from the south or southwest.
