Oinut is a free and open source (GPLv3) animation software for Linux. Oinut is a raster based animation package, and can be used for traditional animation (either paper drawn or digital), cutout animation, stopmotion animation, rotoscoping, or combining them all. Oinut is in the openSUSE repositories.

Salome ist ein freies Programm, mit dem man dreidimensionale T�tigkeiten im CAE-Bereich bearbeiten kann. Einsatzgebiet ist das Pre- und Post-Processing bei numerischen Simulationen wie zum Beispiel der FEM. Die Software verf�gt unter anderem �ber einen interaktiven Geometrie-Editor. F�r den Datenaustausch verf�gt Salome �ber Schnittstellen wie STEP (AP203/214 Schema), IGES(5.3) und BREP (ein internes Open-CASCADE-Format). Das Programm, dessen Quellcode unter der LGPL steht und von der franz�sischen Regierung gef�rdert wird, l�uft auf Linux- und Unix-Betriebssystemen.

Inner Margin for PDFs (EN)
Whenever it comes to print multiple pages onto one while coincidently leaving an inner margin in order to stitch pages together later on your tool of choice will be 'bundsteg'. The tool uses pdfcrop to first remove all margins then scale the original page content to exactly the space being left over after subtracting the desired inner and outer margins. 'bundsteg' does not only qualify for leaving an inner margin but also for rotating individual pages and page ranges if your document should ever make this necessary.
