I have a website powered by Joomla CMS and placed Adsense ads on it using different plugins, the problem is that I didn't earn any revenue in the last few months, eventhough I have about 10000 visitors a month viewing a good amount of contents, even the ads under my adsense account became inactive as if they were invisible.

Is that down to using plugins instead of modules?

Your help is much appreciated.

I got below stuff from one of my previous colleagues for YouTube optimization I believe hope this will help for new users.
YouTube Strategy – You should optimize a video before it is uploaded. This would include the title, description, tags, etc. Here are some guidelines:

We need to include the main keywords in the title. The title should tell viewers exactly what they expect to see in the video. This will cause people to get what they expect when they click on the video. This will increase sharing, views, likes to dislikes ratio, etc.

The description should be optimized with the target keywords as well. The keywords should be added as naturally as possible into the description. This helps both from a search crawler’s perspective as well as from a user’s perspective.

For videos that are uploaded to a channel that you control, promote the videos to the people you know: friends, relatives, customers, and clients. Ask these people to watch your video and share them with their friends. To share them you can:

Via your email newsletters

Via your own company’s website and/or blog

Via social sharing on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and more.

Distribution of the video on top video sharing websites in order to get more traffic. You can distribute both videos you have produced on our own channel or ones that Your- Friendly (similar) channels produce.

Blogging about the video off-site (guest blog, local publications etc.)

Social bookmarking or sharing the videos as well as the distribution links and blog links.

Conduct outreach to further spread the reach of your similar positive videos.

I know there are much more that will be added by other members.

Apologies if this sounds like a basic question.

I'm currently working on a site where it is necessary to have a link out to a regulatory body.

However, I've noticed that the body has a short video on You Tube explaining what they do. From a user perspective, I thought it would be a great accompaniment.

Being on the main site, should we "host" the video to ensure continuity - by host, I mean maintain a copy, either on YouTube, some other video sharing channel or directly on our site as opposed to linking directly to their YouTube channel. And in doing so, are there any SEO benefits?

Any thoughts?

Hi,

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of comparison between the slight bump Google
gives to SSL enabled web sites versus the potential penalty for a much slower TTFB.
What have your experiences been? ...has switching to HTTPS worked? ...are the slower
pages hurting you?

Background

After much optimization, my HTTP vs HTTPS time to first byte is 0.2 - 0.3 ms and 1.2 - 1.4 ms,
respectively. I've tried to have my cake and eat it at the same time by:

Simultaneously running both sites.

Not URL rewriting visitors from HTTP to HTTPS.

(edit) Contacting all my backlinks and successfully getting them to change to HTTPS.

Using rel=canonical to signal to search engines HTTPS is preferred.

Adding the HTTPS as a second managed property in Google Search Console.

Made a number of speed improvements to Apache configuration.

Installed static page caching to Drupal with Boost (drupal.org/project/boost) (great module btw).

There doesn't appear to be any more ways left for me to speed up this web site. These
changes were implemented during the fall, with speed enhancements coming a couple
months after encryption. My ranking has fallen right off the first 10 pages (it was never great)
compared to similar local sites, and despite having what I think is a pretty good site (https://www.robertmiller.ca), all
things considered.

I really feel like my site would be an awesome case study. Doing lots of things write, but
something is gone amiss. Heck, e-brochure sites optimized for IE 4 are shaming me. lol :(

I'm re-tooling a store. The content was very neglected, and was pretty 'invisible' to the engines, so I'm focusing a lot of energy on that. It's a WordPress / WooCommerce site. I've installed Yoast and it's analyzing my pages.

I did a keyword analysis and the terms that seem like they'll be the most useful cluster around terms like "luxury outdoor furniture" 'yard art" "luxury patio furniture." The inventory is high-end and expensive, a lot of people looking for outdoor furniture have no intention of paying what these items cost, so there's no point bringing them to the site.

So I've been alternating with those terms when I optimize the product descriptions. Yoast keeps flagging me that I've already used them before and directing me to a page about cornerstone content, yoast.com/cornerstone-content-rank/

It's confusing me. We have to use the keywords that are relevant to the products, and those keywords are the same for most of the products. Also, I'm re-using basic 'about the company why this stuff is so special (expensive)' on every page. Yoast is nagging to use about 300 words on every page, and there really aren't 300 new words possible for each product, and everybody landing on every product page needs this info, so it seems natural and wise to be doing this, though I can hear somebody jumping up and saying I'm just keyword stuffing.

Here's one of these pages: lkc1.club/product/dog-bench-luxury-outdoor-furniture/

and another:

lkc1.club/product/butterfly-bench/

As usual, they tell you not to do anything geared towards SEO, but then they tell you your stuff has to be SEO friendly,
both of which seem contradictory, so what to do? Am I doing this right?

I'm now looking to get back into it. Any recommendations to someone who knows the ins and outs but might be a bit rusty? How is the industry today, any good programs for beginners?

Thanks.
