ADHD is an unfortunate learning disability that affects many children and can hamper their behavior, moods and learning capabilities. Children with ADHD are characterized by having very short attention spans, bursts of positive and negative moods, abnormal behavior and poor memory and concentration. Neurofeedback can help train your child’s brain and regulate their brain activity and functioning.

Why is it important to treat your child for ADHD?

ADHD stands for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and is a very common disorder in children. It can be quite a complex disorder that can affect your child’s life, behavior and well-being in different ways. ADHD causes many other harmful side effects such as weight loss, amnesia, and decreased appetite. That is why it is extremely important to give your child the proper treatment if they have ADHD.

Neurofeedback for ADHD treatment

Neurofeedback training to treat ADHD is also known as electroencephalogram (EEG) biofeedback. Neurofeedback can help your child regulate their brain activity and improve their learning, cognitive and concentration skills at school. Children with ADHD find it very difficult to concentrate so telling them to pay attention won’t do much good. But neurofeedback training by a certified Clinician, can teach your child how to make their brain more effective and efficient and be more attentive when it is required to be.

A neurofeedback therapy session will have the therapist attach sensors to your child’s head which will study and analyze his brain activity. These sensors are connected to a monitor where you can see your child’s brain wave patterns. Then the therapist will instruct your child to perform certain tasks and study the monitor accordingly. Your child will then be instructed to observe the monitor while performing the given tasks and look at their brain activity. This way your child is encouraged to control their own brain activity The therapist will try different strategies to keep your child focused and see if there is any change in his brain function. Then the successful strategies are implemented in real life situations once the sensors are taken off.

The FocusBand is being trialled by the Wuttke Institute who have been using feedback for 25 years to assist clients with ADHD

Your brain activity controls and determines everything that you do and feel. Most of us have normal or close to normal brain function that allows us to perform our daily activities properly. But some people have imbalances in their brain or chronic emotions that interfere with their day to day lives. Here is where neurofeedback comes in.

Neurofeedback can help alter and regularize imbalanced brain function and help bring it back to normal. It helps to train the brain and control brain activity. Neurofeedback is also known as biofeedback for the brain. But first, let us learn a little more about brainwaves. Brainwaves are nothing but the electrical impulses that are produced as the brain cells communicate with each other. Brainwaves determine how you function and feel. They determine your moods and mood changes, stress levels, habits and identify your overall brain functioning.

Clinicians can measure and monitor your brainwave activity by fixing sensors onto your scalp. Using brain analysis software, they can determine the exact brain activities that are causing your symptoms. Once the areas of concern are known, a plan is drawn out to bring your brain back into an efficient and comfortable state. And this cycle takes us back to neurofeedback.

A neurofeedback therapy session would involve studying what your brain is actually doing and comparing it with what you would like your brain to do. When your brain is reaching a more positive, happy and comfortable state the positive response can be seen on the computer monitor and this response that is shown on the computer screen is nothing but your brains neurofeedback. This kind of neurofeedback is usually in the form of an Avatar with with audible and visual feedback. All these activities stimulate the brain waves and cause the brain to either feel positive or negative and do positive or negative acts accordingly otherwise known as neurofeedback.

The Focusband is based on neurofeedback and is the one of the best know methods to regulate the brain.

The BioSwing Dynamics™/Myelinator™ ‘Instruction Disruption’ Platform includes integration of Myelinator™, FocusBand™ and Smart2Move Force Plate technologies together with PRO/Share™, an innovative leveraged revenue generating business model. (myelinator.com/bioswing-myelinator.html)

“The secret to performance resides in our ability to access or motor skill memories through the correct state of mind. What is commonly called muscle memory isn’t what it is all cracked up to be! Disrupt the state of mind and muscle memory has no meaning. The fact is, we either access our motor skill memories through proper focus, or we fail to perform the desired skill. The way we learn our skills also has a real impact on how well we can access the skills. The Myelinator™ provides deep learning which makes accessing the skills easier, and Focusband™ trains us to experience the state of mind that is most effective for accessing our motor skill memories. Together they create a powerful platform for training and performance,” says E.A. Tischler Director of Instruction at Olympia Fields and BioSwing Dynamics™/Myelinator™ Summit host. The Myelinator™ is a brain-centric training device, using biofeedback, designed specifically to ‘myelinate’ the golf swing. It utilizes a 3D sensor system that allows instructors to capture the student’s “Swing Form” through identifying optimal positions for the student to swing through. What that means for the golfer, as Tischler states, “They will be practicing perfectly! Why, because the Myelinator™ guarantees the instructor programs each “Swing Form” he or she wants the student to train, and then the system doesn’t allow the student to progress without training with the program ‘Perfectly!’ Additionally, The BioSwing Dynamics/Myelinator™ dramatically cuts down the amount of time it takes for improvement to be realized!”

“Now integrating FocusBand™ with BioSwing Dynamics/Myelinator™ enhances the NeuroPerformance process. We are now training both the cognitive and physical skills together. Compelling research shows, this is the most effective method to train an athlete for consistent & sustained performance” stated Graham Boulton, co-inventor along with his son Henry Boulton, of FocusBand™ a wearable brain-sensing headset, used by many elite players on the PGA Tour, PGA Tour Champions and other tours around the world. More specifically it a neurofeedback device that allows the golfer to become aware whether, or not, they are in right state of mind for optimal performance. The integration of the FocusBand™ with BioSwing Dynamics/Myelinator™ allows the student to experience even deeper levels of learning.

The Summit will feature Five BioSwing Dynamics/Myelinator™ Academy units, each with integrated FocusBand™ to be used during hands-on sessions for Summit attendees, allowing them the opportunity to experience the process of Myelination. In addition, on Day 2 of the Summit instructors will have the option to earn a BioSwing Dynamics/Myelinator Accreditation and actually leave with a unit.

With the BioSwing Dynamics™/MyelinatorCloud™, each and every student’s swing is personalized and becomes mobile for the first time ever, resulting in the ability for students to train with any Certified BioSwing Dynamics/Myelinator Coach, or with any Myelinator location, worldwide. The powerful BioSwing Dynamics™/Myelinator™ Ecosystem and innovative PRO/Share™ business model provides a game-changing platform for instructors and students alike! (myelinator.com/bioswing-myelinator.html)

Now is the time to get involved! Save the dates for The BioSwing Dynamics™/Myelinator™ Summit and schedule your trip to Olympia Fields CC for July 31st and August 1st, the future begins now!

Olympia Fields, IL – June 20, 2017 – E.A. Tischler, Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and known to many as the Pro’s-Pro because of the work he does with Touring Professionals, including Brandt Jobe and Scott McCarron who finished 1-2 recently at the PGA Tour Champions Principal Charity Classic, will be hosting the inaugural BioSwing Dynamic™/Myelinator™ Global Summit. The Summit is designed for future thinking, business-minded teaching professionals and will be held at famed Olympia Fields CC, south of Chicago, on July 31st and August 1st, 2017. Every now and then new technology is introduced that “disrupts” the status quo, and from that new technology great advances are made in the areas of learning and performance. According to Tischler, “That is exactly what we are now experiencing with the paradigm shifting BioSwing Dynamics™/Myelinator™ Ecosystem.” Additionally, the Ecosystem offers an innovative ‘Revenue Sharing Model’ for the Golf Professional’s Business. myelinator.com/bioswing-myelinator.html

The Summit will provide important insights for attendees from around the world to learn about this game-changing opportunity and to be at the forefront of what Own My Swing Founder, Howard Reisman, calls ‘Instruction Disruption’. The ‘Instruction Disruption’ Platform includes the integration of multiple learning technologies such as The Myelinator, FocusBand and Smart2Move Force Plates. It also features a Cloud-Based Digital Platform, which allows information tracking and flexibility to train and do business globally. Additionally, the BioSwing Dynamics™/Myelinator™ Ecosystem integrates a proprietary BioSwing Dynamics™ Program.

In recent years new technologies have been introduced to allow instructors to measure and assess all aspects of the golfer’s swing. Recently we have even seen new biofeedback systems that help enhance the quality of the golfer’s training. However, with the BioSwing Dynamics™Myelinator™ Ecosystem, we can ensure our students are training the exact “Swing Form” that we program for them, while experiencing deeper levels of learning. Additionally, with the protocols established by the BioSwing Dynamics™ approach to coaching and learning we can ensure that the patterns we program match each student’s specific Body Mechanics. Deep learning is enhanced even further with training protocols that use both the FocusBand and Myelinator.

To understand more clearly how the Ecosystem works, the Myelinator™ is a brain-centric training device designed specifically to ‘myelinate’ the golfer’s ideal “Swing Form”. It utilizes a 3D sensor system that allows instructors to capture the student’s “Swing Form” through identifying optimal positions for the student to swing through. The FocusBand™ is a wearable brain-sensing headset, used by many elite players on the PGA Tour, PGA Tour Champions and other tours around the world. More specifically it a neurofeedback device that allows the golfer to become aware of whether, or not, they are in right state of mind for optimal performance. Within the BioSwing Dynamics™/Myelinator™ Ecosystem, the integration of the FocusBand™ with the Myelinator™ allows the student to experience even deeper levels of learning.

Smart2Move Founder/CEO Gregory Lebrat has been working with BioSwing Dynamics™ co-founders Mike Adams and E.A. Tischler over the past year to bring together their technologies with the BioSwing Dynamics™ community. Jean Paul Fernandez, Smart2Move CTO and golf biomechanics engineer, will be at the Global Summit to announce the partnership between Switzerland-based Smart2Move and their S2M force plates and the BioSwing Dynamics™/Myelinator™ Ecosystem.

Two of the finest BioSwing Dynamics™ instructors, whom E.A. Tischler recruited to help field test the technology, will be part of the team presenting at the Summit. Jeff Smith, Columbus, IN commented, “After testing the BioSwing Dynamics™/Myelinator™ system, I can say for certain it is one of the very best tools I have to help my students improve. I set the swing parameters for them, and they use it to train their motion. The results are simply amazing!” And according to Joe Plecker (Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor), Baltimore, MD, “Training in golf has taken giant leaps forward with the Myelinator™. Through deep practice, my students can ingrain their swing motions with precision and long-term retention. The Myelinator™ is an essential part of my teaching program.”

Unfortunately, it can take a life crisis like a health scare, divorce, or loss of a job to realize that we are not on the right path in our lives. This creates a fork in the road. Do we go back to the same life hoping for a different result, or do we decide to have the courage to create change in our life? And even if we want to create change, where do we start?

In order to connect to our life purpose, we have to do just one thing: breathe.

Are you aware of your breath in this moment? Many of us are not aware of our breath, until we can’t breathe anymore.
When we connect to our breathing consciously, we connect to the present moment. Only in the present moment are we truly connected to our dreams and desires.

Do you allocate a moment in your day to be still? It is as simple as remembering to breathe. Meditation has been shown to change and improve the structure and function of our brains. Meditation is medicine for the mind and healing for the soul. In meditation, we allow stillness of our minds, and this is how we connect to inspiration.

Inspiration may take the form of remembering your childhood dreams. Or perhaps it will come as guidance on a new direction to take in your personal life or career.

The FocusBand guides & prompts you through your breathing technique & exercises. Once your have learnt to breathe effectively, it’s time to apply this to meditation to gain all the benefits that have been in existence for 6000 years plus.

The FocusBand validates your breathing quality & meditation stillness by the use of Neurofeedback. That is, when you brain is calm, audible & visual feedback will signify you are in a calm state.

The role of the mind in physical performance cannot be overstated. From investigating basic physical forces like gravity, to adopting new and more powerful ways of using the body, every improvement begins with the mind.

To learn effectively the mind needs to be calm. When “calm” is mentioned this does not mean lazing under a palm tree on a tropical beach, ready to doze off!

It is quite the opposite

Calm means being in the present & in a heightened state of awareness, ready to accept the next challenge. This is the Mushin state

In order to learn effectively, you must also be able to concentrate, however you can’t force yourself to concentrate. If you do, you will immediately feel tense, with a scowling face, set jaw, and tight shoulder and neck muscles, and holding your breath.

This is hard work. This the left brain being busy and getting inside your head. Most people want to be in total mental control of what they do, and find it difficult to allow their bodies to function without step-by-step instructions from the left brain.

There needs to be a balance between the initial learning, using the left brain, and then using the right brain, or Mushin, in a trusting & relaxed way. You need to fight less and flow more.

In the Mushin flow mode, it deals with the whole movement, instead of parts of the movement. It integrates the
movements and allows things to happen simultaneously.

Neurofeedback training will eventually let your right brain take over, so you trust your body and the ability of the right brain to assimilate the correct information and execute the intent.

This blog is intended as a basic introduction to the principle that quality breathing is essential for good health and performance

Most of us don’t think about our pattern of breathing because it’s automatic, and unconsciously we all continue to breathe due to our autonomic nervous system. But to what extent do we truly give ourselves what our bodies need for optimum health & performance?

It’s unrecognized by many, that the importance of maintaining health & performance is directly related to the quality of our breathing.

The FocusBand’s Breathing page is used to train & validate an ideal breathing:

Style – Diaphragm or Chest

Rhythm – Exhale/Inhale ratio

Rate – Breathing Speed

Quality breathing lowers your brain frequency and into the Mushin state of calmness, which in turn produces happy & performance chemicals that controls the body.

Poor breathing raises the left brain frequencies that produces stress chemicals which affects the body in many adverse ways including diseases, stress, anxiety and “choking” in sports.

Training our breath is a skill and like all skills, needs to learned & trained. With repeated efforts, over time, we can retrain our muscles and automatic responses through breathing exercises to have a direct influence on our body’s total health

Neurofeedback training uses EEG (Electroencephalogram) which accurately measures Brainwave activity through soft woven sensors, safely placed on the surface of the head. This brainwave activity can then be monitored visually and by audio tones.

Through the brain’s sophisticated feedback system, individuals are taught, in a game-like format, to effectively exercise their brain, leading to increased awareness and differentiation of mental states.

Neurofeedback naturally empowers the brain to effortlessly develop increased control and strength, much like the effects of weight lifting to develop muscle strength or jogging to improve cardiovascular fitness.

Games & Animation

To make this feedback training more engaging, we have developed a game using Formula One cars on a race track.
Our Fast and Focused app tests and trains your ability to stay Focused in stressful situations.

When paired with a FocusBand Headset, your level of Focus is displayed on the FocusBand avatar, while you attempt to avoid other racers as well as staying fueled up!

The game starts easy as you accumulate miles and fuel, but the longer game goes, the pace and stress increases.
By staying Focused you are rewarded, as your miles are multiplied.
So stay Focused and fueled up for the highest score possible.

Features:

Test your ability to stay Focused while under pressure

Control your racer either by device accelerometer or screen taps.

Demonstration mode to try out the game without a FocusBand

Saves Highest Score

The Fast & Focused App is available from the App Store

Courtesy Marty Wuttke www.wuttkeinstitute.com

Mild: One who is curious but not really committed to self-evolution. There is a tendency to have a lot of doubts and judgments. This type will go from teacher to teacher, seminar to seminar, searching but always maintaining some distance and never quite willing (or simply does not recognize the need) to put in the sincere effort it takes to begin (and engage in) the performance process.

Middle: One who has found a teaching but still puts it in ‘second place’ to all of one’s priorities in life. This type recognizes the need for a personal program of self-discipline, but is not yet able to embrace this truth as a personal realization. It remains more of an obligation often motivated more from the perspective of ‘what I should be doing’.

Intense: One who fully recognizes the meaning and purpose of sustained performance: Therefore, one arranges one’s life around one’s performance training curriculum rather than trying to ‘fit time in’ for one’s training. At this level one is a ‘believer’ of a Performance training system’.
A believer is one who engages in a systematic program of action whose conscious intent is to achieve complete awakening and self-realization… Yes !

No matter where we find ourselves on the performance scale, growth is facilitated and accelerated when we make a commitment to:

Believe in our training curriculum each & every day.

Study sources of inspirational higher knowledge.

Have fun! Enjoy life! and avoid being exposed to sensational, superficial and useless “quick fixes”

Most important of all is: no one can walk our path for us. It is up to each one, individually, to make the effort to dedicate him – or herself to evolving to a higher state of sustained performance

Send us an email when you are ready to discuss your future with one of our Performance coaches.
