About
My career spans almost two decades and everything from green-screen application development to the latest, hottest web technologies. Small businesses, world-class museums, government research laboratories, and Fortune 500 companies have all counted on me to deliver outstanding web experiences for their online audiences.
I believe in "holistic" web development. My computer science background draws me toward technical, kinda esoteric topics. But, I'm also well-versed in SEO, accessibility, usability, and a little bit of design. The web revolutionized how we communicate, and a lot of pieces have to come together for a compelling digital experience.
As an engineering leader, I couple my passion for code with proven leadership techniques to inspire engineers to produce work they can be proud of, and to be people they can be proud of.
I currently work as an Associate Director of Engineering at 10up, an outstanding distributed web agency (we're hiring). I'm also a runner, feral cat socializer, podcaster, and computer history fanatic. I love living in Boston with my partner Amy, our son Andy, and three cats.
