The comic book community is coming together to help the victims of the Orlando shooting. In December, DC Comics and IDW Publishing will publish “Love Is Love,” a 144-page comic book whose proceeds will benefit Equality Florida and its fund for those affected by the June 12 attack at the Pulse nightclub in Florida. —NYTimes

Star Wars Millennium Falcon Resin Diorama Statue Sculpture:
It doesn’t get any better than this! This is a bona fide must-have acquisition for any veritable Star Wars aficionado. It will become the centerpiece of your collection. Taken from the exhilarating escape scene in Star Wars: A New Hope, this astounding Millennium Falcon resin statue is perfectly cast down to the very finest detail. The entire piece measures an incredible 17 1/2-inches tall x 26 1/2-inches wide x 68-inches long! Truly a unique collector’s item, one half of the Millennium Falcon is displayed while the other half provides an amazing open view of the inside of the vessel. Don’t let this one get away! Limited edition of 400 pieces. Character statues shown in the images are sold separately and not included. As an added bonus, a small metal figurine of a Mouse Droid can be obtained by mailing in a completed form to the manufacturer.
You would think that for a product that’s over $2,400 they could include the mouse droid.

Ghostbusters Ecto-1 Hot Wheels Elite 1:18 Scale Vehicle:

In 1:18 scale die-cast, this Ghostbusters Ecto-1 Vehicle features the extreme details you expect in the Mattel Hot Wheels Elite Collector line. Don’t get spooked. Order yours while you can! Ages 13 and up.
The Ecto-1 is the legendary vehicle that the Ghostbusters used to travel throughout the city busting ghosts. The vehicle used for the Ecto-1 was a 1959 Cadillac professional ambulance, built by the Miller-Meteor Company and converted by Universal Studios.
Ghostbusters is the famous 1984 American comedy film about three eccentric New York City parapsychologists turned ghost exterminators.
Back when I was in the working world, I had a pretty sweet car collection up on a shelf, now they’re all in a box in a sad corner of my home office…but I can’t help that think the Ecto-1 (or the a-team classic, whew mama) would make some great additions.
When it comes to “The Hunger Games, ” staying alive means finding food any way possible. Katniss and Gale hunt live game, Peeta’s family survives on the bread they make, and the inhabitants of the Seam work twelve-hour days for a few handfuls of grain. While the residents of the Capitol gorge themselves on delicacies and desserts to their hearts’ desire. And now you can share in some of these delicacies with The Unofficial Hunger Games Cookbook.
The books were meh…but I could see the potential for a great movie in there, so I’m pretty pumped up for the theatrical release!

I’ve been busy playing catch up, looks like there’s at least 5 years (!) worth of comics to add!

Finished adding tags for all the DC Faces of Evil Comic Book Covers, so now they’ll show up in their respective collection!
Woo!
Want to favorite a cover? easy peasy! Just click on ‘add to favorites’ while you’re on the single cover view.
Want to add covers? That’s easy too! Just click on the PLUS sign that’s to the right of the title, add your cover and a comment and it’ll be automatically uploaded.
I’ll have a system in place soon for adding new series, stay tuned!
I’ve added the ability to rate and favorite covers from their page. You can view the top rated and top favorited covers in the sidebar, which is getting a bit over crowded, so I think I’m going to move some of those widgets to the footer or maybe immediately under the galleries themselves.
At the moment, the display page for favorites is going to be blank, as it’s not entirely 100% compatible with the way I’m using WordPress, so I’m going to need to edit it’s script a fair bit to do what I’m wanting it to. Until then, you can be safe in the knowledge that any covers you favorite now will eventually show up in your own favorites gallery.
As my first real addition to the site in a long while (9 years, wtf?) I’ve added next week’s free comics, you can check them all out here: www.comiccovers.com/collection/fcbd-2016/
just click on the image while you’re on the big image page and it’ll rotate 90 degrees.
It’s awesome!
New cover system is in place, I’ve gotten the forwarding working for the most part too. Next up : ratings and comments and user submissions!
Power Girl by Rini / Wonder Woman by Laura
Power Girl and Wonder Woman cosplayers originally appeared on MyConfinedSpace on April 19, 2016.
Images may be wonky for the next couple days as I import them into wordpress. Previously the images and content were all being served to you by a custom hand built script. It worked great if I was the only person doing work on it, but was a nightmare to allow third parties to add scans.
There’s also going to be some ratings and meta data fields added to the site, along with tracking of how many submissions, comments and additions that the community adds, on a per user level. Let me know if you have suggestions, I’m going to be working on getting the scans re-uploaded and getting the 301 redirects in place for incoming traffic.
