Still at it!

Posted by Erica on January 31, 2017 at 3:17pm 1 Comment

Hello! Is anybody out there?  I got to leave work early for the snow today :)   I'm still at it losing weight. I'm using my fitness pal for tracking.  I'm doing meal prep and using my kitchen scale and I'm sticking to it really well.  However, the bathroom scale is moving in super, duper slow motion and it's starting to get frustrating.  I think I might need to drop my calories down a smidge.  I'm only 5'2 and I sit at a desk all day.  I think I'm going to drop down a little and see what…

I can't believe how quickly time flies! Well I'm back to tracking my food with my fitness pal and I have already lost 2 pounds :) Sure it's not much but it's just the motivation that I need to move forward. I'm feeling much better than I have felt in a long time and taking this opportunity to get my habits in order and move toward getting my weight back to a healthy place. I have to run now, work awaits! But I will be back soon! So glad to see some of my log time friends still posting and… Continue

Still Tracking After All These Years

Posted by MarthaG on January 11, 2017 at 7:42pm 4 Comments

Back in 2010 it became clear to me that I had to do something about my weight which had crept up to the mid 220's and it wasn't coming down. As a first step I decided to track what I ate and set a reasonable calorie goal. What I didn't do was commit to staying within that calorie goal so when dinner rolled around and I was almost out of calories, I'd say "Oh well! there's always tomorrow," and just eat. It certainly showed me why I wasn't losing weight.

Then in…

Weekly Update - 1/3

Posted by Paula on January 3, 2017 at 8:55am 2 Comments

Weight - Down .4 pounds.

Exercise - Running 5 days a week. I have cut back since I am not sure if I hurt my high hamstring. I ran 15 miles.

Food - I am making better choices. I did not gain weight in the last 4 weeks of December.

Mood - Positive.

2016 was better than 2015. Although I am not at goal, I lost 15 pounds from 1/1/2016 - 12/31/2016. I ran 5 races in 2016. Here is to 2017.

Day 1 complete

Posted by Onnie Michalsky on January 2, 2017 at 9:55pm 1 Comment

My day is over. I'm about to get a shower and hit the hay. I did all I said I was going to do today. This morning Jason (DH) and I did our first CD from the Focus T-25 series. It was tough but we made it through. I wasn't dripping sweat as I do with Insanity, but my body, calves especially were feeling it.

I then wrote down all my food that I planned to eat for the day, accounting for calories and stuck to it all day. Jason even took a break from plowing to drive me to the store to…

2017 Resolutions

Posted by Onnie Michalsky on January 1, 2017 at 11:15pm 0 Comments

So cliche! New Year's Resolutions. It's a new year, a new me. Not that I don't like the current me, but in order to want to change, you must be dissatisfied with how you are now. And so...I resolve to change starting today, January 1st...what better day is there? A bonus too, since it is Sunday, again... a perfect day to start! Today I blog and make my SMART goals. Tomorrow I wake up, do T-25 and meal plan. Then at night I teach cardio dance. 2 workouts in one day won't be a bad way to kick…

Weekly Update 12/10

Posted by Paula on December 10, 2016 at 7:10pm 0 Comments

Weight - Down 1.6 pounds. When it stays here or goes lower I will believe it is a loss vs. fluctuation.

Exercise - Ran 5 days. Got in 27 miles this week. Treadmill miles are not fun like outdoor running is.

Food - I did reign in a bit more this week, but there is much more that needs doing.

Mood - Okay.

I think I am the only one who blogs here anymore. I feel silly sometimes posting, but I am doing this to help me hold myself accountable. Maybe folks… Continue

Weekly Update - 12/3

Posted by Paula on December 3, 2016 at 7:33am 0 Comments

Weight - Zero. No change.

Exercise - Ran the treadmill 5 days this week. 25 miles.

Food - I need to make changes here. I have lost weight since the beginning of the year, but want to lose more.

Mood - Tired. It has been gray & blah since last weekend. I need sun.

I really wanted to lose 5 more pounds by the end of the year. I am not sure if I will make it, but I am going to give it my best shot.

Weekly Update - 11/26

Weight - Up 1.6 pounds. No surprise after Thanksgiving. I have still lost 13.8 pounds since New Years.

Exercise - Ran 25 miles this week. The 5 mile Turkey Trot was fun. It didn't prevent the gain.

Food - I really need to focus more on Eating clean wholesome foods. I have been leaning to much to processed.

Mood - Up & down.

My story of Struggling for Fit Shape

Posted by Emma Jones on November 22, 2016 at 11:50am 0 Comments

Since the early childhood I have always being a little bit plump. It never seemed a real problem for me as I thought that situation was under my total control. As the time showed, I was wrong. When I became older things started to go wrong and my problem with excess weight started growing together with the number of kilos on the scales.

First Fails

Fitness industry becomes more popular every day and I decided not to stay aside. I found the nearest gym next to my house and…
