Hi, I'm Aysha Khan.

I’m a journalist based in Boston. My work focuses on religion, digital culture and underrepresented communities — particularly Muslims in America.

These days I report on U.S. Muslims and millennial faith at Religion News Service, an award-winning, non-profit news wire that's partnered with the Associated Press for our new global religion journalism initiative. Before that, I studied journalism at the University of Maryland and worked with ThinkProgress, American Journalism Review and the Journalism Center on Children and Families. I'm a fellow with the Maynard Institute for Journalism Education and the Muslim Women and the Media Training Institute and a former fellow with the Journalism & Women Symposium. My reporting has won awards from the South Asian Journalists Association and the Religion News Association.
