– Miyazaki Hayao has retracted his retirement. In fact he’s already been deep into making the next feature film.

– “Teriyaki” is not a thing; it is a cooking method.

– People have started to wear masks in Japan. They are allergic to pollen. Poor things. I also see so many masks abandoned on the ground everywhere I go to it’s kind of hilarious. Do they just come off of people’s faces?

breakfast: coffee & baked apple pie oats (oats, yogurt, milk, banana, apple, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and almonds on top. mine had too much liquid, and yogurt was not such a good idea.)

lunch: rucola carrot salad & fried rice, which was exceptionally good (miso-marinated pork, egg, chopped green onion, garlic powder, minced ginger, soy sauce, salt, & pepper)

snack: rochers de chocolat blanc (white chocolate, feuillantine, pistachio, cacao butter, freeze-dried framboise), chocolate, & protein bar

dinner: red wine, cherry tomatoes, & deep-fried prawns…then some more chocolate

lunch: penne with miso-marinated pork, green onion, and rapeseed & rocket carrot cherry tomato salad

i did 12-min. quick total body sculpting hiit workout, followed by full body stretching yoga flow for flexibility. this was the best i could. i was incredibly exhausted today. i’m just glad i got this in.

lunch: oyako-don (too much chicken + egg + onion), carrot salad, & daikon cucumber salad
大根ときゅうりのサラダは、塩もみして出た水を切ったところに、砂糖・しょうゆ・ごま油・酢を合わせたドレッシングを和えて、最後に鰹節を投入。

snack: chocolate (chocolate, lots of it, preferably the good one, really helps to get through this horrible month of february.) & protein bar

i did 12-min. hiit core & cardio fat burn and went for a walk and braved the cold cold wind.

breakfast: coffee, ponkan, & liberté (banana, apricot jelly, mascarpone cream, espresso-soaked génoise, cinnamon-flavored crème pâtissière…all that sounds good and fancy except that i left it in the fridge, forgot about it, and left for work without it. so i had a couple of chocolate for breakfast instead.)

i did 20-min. core cardio fat burn and 20-min. yoga for flexibility.
