    One disappointment about DC is the gossip that masquerades as “reporting.” This story has: - Not a SINGLE named or verifiable source - Only ONE on-the-record comment, which is a denial. My dad had a name for junk articles like this: “Birdcage lining.”

    I left work to get a slice, saw a guy getting rocked by police, saw the guy filming it and loudly protesting it get wailed on, filmed that, then after a bit of reporting, wrote this:

    This reply is a nice reminder that you don't always know the exact point of view of everyone you're debating with. "Dialogue gatekeeping" arguments are often just ad hominem attacks in disguise, deployed when you've run out of real arguments. Relevant:

    In fact, I am gay, and I'm just old enough (40) to remember when conservative groups urged boycotts of advertisers and networks who were seen as promoting LGBTQ or other "nontraditional" lifestyles. That strongly influences my views on this subject!

    The bos' *finally* weighs in, after the debate "should we use D3?" is now a couple years old. But still, I am going to disagree: D3 is still hard. Choosing which modules to use out of a list of 31 is not an "easy" ecosystem, even done perfectly.

    Remember, Michael Cohen only became a “Rat” after the FBI did something which was absolutely unthinkable & unheard of until the Witch Hunt was illegally started. They BROKE INTO AN ATTORNEY’S OFFICE! Why didn’t they break into the DNC to get the Server, or Crooked’s office?

    I always found WSJ was a little overlooked for all the amazing work that happens there. Nice to see some well-deserved kudos!

    Hats off to on breaking so many huge stories on the financial elements of this scandal -- I had been wondering why they weren't taking more of a victory lap for nailing the AMI/Trump story that was ultimately revealed by prosecutors yesterday...

    Netflix and HBO aren't selling me a hollow democracy. If journalism wants to be a bastion of democracy, journalists have to be democratic. That includes a wide range of things they already do but it I think it also includes representation in decision-making if I give you money.
