    Lots of horse carriage driver jobs have been lost in the past hundred years. People have still gotten to where they need to go.

    45% of newspaper journalism jobs have disappeared since 2007. Digital news outlets had replaced only 18% of those jobs even before recent layoffs at BuzzFeed, HuffPo, Mic, etc. This isn't just a jobs thing, it's about people not getting basic information they used to.

    What is amazing when reading the comments on any of these threads is how few people understand what socialism or capitalism are. Makes the whole debate pointless. What is the point of arguing with people that think gun deaths are the result of the economic system of capitalism?

    Speaking of which, the Turks almost certainly have cameras covering the Saudi embassy as well. Not to mention the fact that they can probably trace his cell signal. This is looking really bad for the Saudis.

    The Saudis claim he left the embassy. There is zero chance that they don't have every entrance and exit wired with cameras. So they should be able to prove that one easily. If they can't prove that he left then everything else they say is a cover-up.

    Sounds like he came in to get his divorce papers so he can marry his Turkish fiancee. Someone at the embassy decided to rough him up. They went too far and he died. Then they found some way to get rid of the body. There goes that 'reformist' narrative that MbS was pitching.

    omg. omg. omg. this feels like a parody, but it isn't. there are actual people with actual phds from actual universities that get paid to produce this kind of garbage and they likely believe their jobs are important.

    It has come to our attention that some people are suggesting that "dog paper" was accepted because reviewers are busy people and "is same as physics journal accepting a paper with fake data" To dispel such notions, we shall publish reviewer comments to Dog rape paper. [thread]
