    Maybe our conversations will eventually be a thing, but as an internet person it IS nice to have these conversations WITHOUT worrying about being your “internet self”

    I watched GOT with yesterday. We followed it with a conversation on the plausibility of dragon flight which we probably should have recorded and posted on YouTube but we didn't. Sucks that y'all missed out!

    I just incremented the likelihood that we live in a simulation, and that it’s staffed by writers who think they’re cleverer than they actually are.

    Here's a funny coincidence: the Schwarzschild radius is the radius defining the event horizon of a black hole. It is also the last name of the astronomer who derived it, Karl Schwarzschild, and it means "Black Shield" in German.

    I’m torn on this poll because I think there’s a single future, but it’s a future in which I split into an unfathomably large (but finite, since I think continuums may be nonsensical) number of nearly identical copies experiencing different branches of the one future.

    I’ve said before that ought to implement post-upload file replacement with version history, but this makes me wonder if, were that to happen, none of us would ever make a new video again. In other words yes I do this every time.

    Does anybody else name their renders "video_FINAL.mp4" only to inevitably end up with 10 more versions and one called "video_FINAL_FINAL_ACTUALFINAL_FINALACTUALFINAL.mp4"?? Solutions to destroying a perfectionist brain are welcome 🙃
