Petition signed
Where is the petition?
Instead of signing a petition to get the advert shown on TV - why not sign the petition to stop dirty Palm Oil. The actual advert is a Greenpeace advert. https://secure.greenpeace.org.uk/page/s/rang-tan-video?source=UN&subsource=FOIDPOPEUN01ZF&utm_source=gpeace&utm_medium=UN&utm_campaign=FOIDPOPEUN01ZF&fbclid=IwAR1S4zpFrqwB0xUigeb1OKwQP3dveQJDomfd_M5ZTZSzjnztCyELWMVEID4 …
Well will do that too

I think it's kind of important to know this advert wasn't banned by any kind of governing body. The "ban" is essentially Clearcast, a private company, saying that it may be in breach of UK advertising laws and advising the company not to air it.
It's also not an original ad by Iceland. It's a rebranded Greenpeace ad. And since Greenpeace lobby in the UK, their ads can be considered "political" and as such have certain restrictions. That said, they've got the right message. It's just not quite correct to say it's banned
I wouldn’t be surprised if saying it was “banned” when it wasn’t really was also part of the social media campaign, seems to have worked with all the outrage and more views
Bit rich since Colonial Britain plundered all our wealth for the “prosperity” of the Empire & left us with pretty much nothing. Oil palm was one of the large-scale industries we had to go in to uplift our nascent economy.
True but i think maybe its time to move to other areas other than palm oils to export. Getting tired of seeing so many plantations here in Sabah.
Malaysia is starting to diversify away to other crops & fruits because price is unsustainable. Last I check FFB is about RM350-380/ton.
Malaysia goverments must have banned this since i have never seen one on tv. We malaysians dont celebrate Christmas, but we need to stop this to protect orangutans from being extinct.
The ad was never intended to be aired in Malaysia in the first place. Also, look at it from this perspective:https://twitter.com/notorioustapir/status/1061508409269178368?s=21 …
