Say what you will, but Mike really came in this preseason and put in his all. Gotta respect him for that.

It has both. You swipe across the nav bar to activate the smaller screen mode. And yeah I'd say a lot of apps support split screen

Using it on handed is not ideal, but I'd definitely say manageable in most situations.

It has an auto brightness feature but what he's talking about is different I think.

I want to wait until I get the review version of the phone before releasing any specifics, but I have no complaints so far.

I like it a lot-- much crisper than the G6's which is especially noticeable when typing. Feels a lot less "mushy".

When the screen is off I'd say there isn't any difference between the second screen on the V20 and the always-on display in the V30. They work pretty much the same functionally. So in that sense I'd say yes.

I didn't really use the second screen on the V20 when the main display was on, so I can't really speak to how the floating bar serves as a replacement. I know a lot of people really liked the functionality that the second screen provided, but I'm personally happy they decided to ditch it.

That's actually a new feature I was pretty happy about. You can schedule it in the settings now.

The phone is as slippery as any phone with a glass back-- which is to say fairly slippery, but something you get used to.

Zoom within the normal video mode (i.e. not slow zoom) will switch between the normal lense and the wide angle. The Point Zoom, as they're calling it, is available in the "Cine" mode and only supports the standard camera. Digital zoom only.

I really like the curvature of the front and back of the phone. Phones that are too squared off are uncomfortable to hold, and I'm not a fan of how curved the screen on the S8 is. The headphone jack is also nice.

It's hard to pick my least favorite thing since, to be honest, there isn't anything on this phone that's wildly different from other phones. If we're talking software, it would probably be LG's keyboard, but that's easy enough to replace. Hardware-wise-- and this isn't anything specific to the V30-- I'd say the glass back. The glass feels great in the hand-- I've even gotten use to how slippery it is-- but the inevitable scratches on glass-backed phones really irk me.

I don't have a Samsung phone in front of me but I'll see if I can go to Best Buy or somewhere and compare them.

Durable in the sense that I think it could survive a fall from a reasonable height. I'd fully expect to have some scratches on the back of the phone after months of use, but the same could be said for any phone with a glass back.

There isn't anything wrong with the camera, I just haven't analyzed it very in-depth at all because this I a preview device. I'll post a review with more in-depth analysis on things like camera and battery life once I get the final review device.

Doesn't look like it-- the notifications work pretty much like they do in the status bar.

There's a dedicated SIM slot and then a slot that can be used for with a SIM card or an SD card it looks like

Thanks for mentioning this-- Compared to the G6 it does feel like there's a lot more... Subtelty? To the taptic feedback. It feels noticeably nicer when doing things like typing. Crisper would be another way to describe the improvement

It's about the same width, but it's lighter, which helps. Maybe I've just gotten used to one-handing larger phones but I'd say it's easier to use with one hand. And like I said the curved edges help a lot.

The always-on display takes on the functionality of the second screen from the V20 when the phone is off. It has time, notifications, and then you can swipe to media control, quick toggles etc.

I don't believe calendar events display unfortunately. I also don't have the headphones to test.
