When Jenifer Barkley (Kathryn Hahn) asks Ben to work from Florida on a campaign and she says “so, just take tonight and think about your future” and Ben leaves in time to catch Leslie in Pawnee as she’s giving up on (or maybe last minute trying to save) their dream house. She says “my boyfriend is moving so I may have to back out” and as she’s changing her mind, and turns to look at the realtor it’s him and he gets on one knee as she says “Ben, what are you doing here?...Oh my God, what are you doing?” He says, “I’m thinking about my future” And I know it’s a sitcom, but I get goosebumps every time and just think how I wish the universe had that great of timing for everyone.
I cannot remember the exact wording but an extensive google search turned nothing. Hoping Reddit can help me out again!
He said, in reference to a story or situation, that it’s like a story “in a book I wouldn’t read, but I WOULD watch the movie of.”
Please help correct this or link to verbatim quote. TIA.
