UPDATE: Riot said they won't revert it.

Background: skins in League come in bundles called "capsules" that cost around $5 each. They're probably filled with trash, so people buy lots and lots of them to get the ones they want. A few hours ago, Riot accidentally made them cost 1 Blue Essence, which is a common currency, most people have thousands of them. It's basically for free. For a window of a few minutes, highly sought after skins could be bought for very low prices. Let's see how the subreddit reacts:

I've spent over $2000 in league since I started in season 5 rip I guess. Feels bad man

900 over 5 years myself. I'm have a thing about collecting cosmetics for characters I like as a sort of completionist and this really does just make me super sour and not want to spend any more.

That would be the first time I'd feel proud for spending 3k on that damn game...

Man what the fuck. I’ve spent thousands of dollars (big regret btw), and now some jackass is just making off with all this free loot. I agree op, revert this.

If they dont revert this, the community will just hate em. I wont be buying rp anymore , if they dont fix this.

Spent 750+ euros, not spending anymore. GG Riot

As someone who spent "only" 500€, i assume it's safe to say these people actually made more skins due to this bug then i did out of those 500€.

before starting to accuse anyone who disagrees with you of being a filthy bug exploiter who "stole" skins from you

Exploiters aren't even trying to hide it lmaoo

Edit: Thanks to everybody responding to my comment and disagreeing. How many skins did you manage to get tho?

then launching into a discussion of economics and collective morality

ITT: People that don't understand microeconomics and why it's morally bad for society and the economy to let people keep things they should have but didn't pay for.

and my personal favorite: lamenting that their "investment" is worthless now

Are you a paying customer? Did you just spend $100 on capsules to hopefully get some nice loot and support Riot™, a company who made your beloved game? Well fuck you.

What you should have done is come online 1 hour earlier and just get all the shit from capsules for free, + another ~$900 worth of stuff, depending on how fast you could click.

Oh what's that? You weren't as lucky? Well, hey, according to some people in this thread, you should feel happy for those who paid nothing and got 10x more shit than you did, because that is totally fine and shame on you for feeling jealous of them. Just take the L, guy or girl, just be happy, and better luck "investing money" next time.

*Update: Riot has announced that they will not be reverting any of these 1BE capsules or the cosmetics that came from them.

In the new thread, one League player said it best with

tldr 1 BE capsules won't be reverted/recalled, people who buy RP getting dabbed on

MBTI. You either love it or hate it because it's as good as horoscopes. Why not get both from this thread? This was fueled when a few users were banned... on a personality test sub.

Thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/mbti/comments/aeubro/this_sub_is_fucking_joke/

For context, MBTI is a personality test that is 100% not scientifically proven and for many people, used for self growth. However, some users take it rather seriously and go by the books of how certain "types" are, what their weaknesses are, their strengths are, and how each usually behave. A few users were banned for what's interpreted as unknown reasons outside of being aggressive about their interpretations of MBTI.

Notable fire in the thread:

More argument about functions in MBTI that gets rather buttery:

Maybe think a little? You are the one advocating 4 oversimllified but mostly inaccurate dichotomies. One of which is "T" for you. Te is fucking retarded, I swear. I say that lovingly because Te is my inferior, sweet heart T person. lol Why is logic so hard for "T"s lol

Someone questions why the mods are banning users and comment chain gets wild:

What exactly are the mods banning people for? I was banned for defending dichotomies in my original account (dorkhole)

Some sass thrown about:

So while you're ranting about this subreddit, what have you contributed for its improvement in content?

And for funzies, you heard it here first folks:

Mods are gay

The Question

"Last Friday, Trump claimed that some former Presidents had told him that they wished that they had built a Wall, a claim that was later refuted by spokespersons for every living president. Why did Trump make this claim, and does it bother you that he lied?"

Mod note: the question title assumes Trump is lying, which it should not. However, there are too many comments for the question to be removed now.

I signed off on the approval and take responsibility for the error.

He could literally be a 70 IQ former African warlord who believes that 2 + Red = Unicorn.

Doesn't matter, as long as I get my wall.

And finally with 250+ children...

Over the past few months since Maplestory 2 released to the west, the playerbase has been steadily declining. Many folks are enjoying the speculation as to why, however most can agree its because the game is designed like a cash-grab mobile game. All progression is gated behind RNG, you're limited in how much you can "do" per week, and the checkpoints are ridiculously far apart.

Nexon shows no respect to players/customers

Stop using people on the dev stream who know nothing about the game

...How are we supposed to believe you hear our concerns when... ... you don't know how to unlock sockets.

Imagine being so out of touch with how your game works

Devs have to use gear hacks and god mode to get through new raid

Some actually did respond in a decent manner with an explanation to why she didn't immediately post evidence online

https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/ae5ul9/ronaldos_ex_with_serious_accusations_being/edmjg70

Some on the other hand did not

https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/ae5ul9/ronaldos_ex_with_serious_accusations_being/edmkdkh

Sorted by controversial to basically just see her get called a liar and attention whore because she said something nice about him months ago

https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/ae5ul9/ronaldos_ex_with_serious_accusations_being/?sort=controversial

Edit: to make it clear this is not the same person who accused him of rape because some were confused.

Edit 2: her Twitter has now been deleted after she posted audio clips she claimed were Ronaldo when apparently they did not sound like Ronaldo.

Background: LushCosmetics is a small sub discussing Lush products--i.e., bath & body works for people who like to immediately tell you they're vegan. The Valentines Day collection just launched, and the mod has put everything VDay-related into a megathread. User JuniperJumps (who has been in soap drama before but is a well-known poster who posts big leaks) is VERY upset by this, and the drama spans multiple posts.

Kind of feels like you want sympathy.

This sub feels like it never evolves.

Another MegaThread? Does anyone really like these?

Yesterday, one of the current mods of /r/livestreamfail announced he was leaving the sub for personal reasons. Before he did, he leaked all the moderator chat logs for that subreddit, from 04/19/2018 - 01/06/2019.

Full chat logs

The leaks revealed that the LSF moderators have been attempting to dox one of Ice Poseidon's web developers. Said dev is banned on LSF.

Link to dox attempt here:

The Target of this has said this was because he started the /r/LiveFails subreddit. Evidence towards this can be found here

The dox target responds on the IP subreddit.

More attempts at doxxing reddit users here

MORE attempts at doxxing reddit users for posts they disagree with. Reddit Link | Image Link

The now former LSF mod calls Ice Poseidon live on stream here:

In this call it is claimed that the general consensus was that IP was banned due to general toxicity/racism, yet these leaks feature the admin & mods using racist terms, much like IP fans did.

The running theory is that the LSF mod team has banned any positive Ice Poseidon news from their subreddit, only allowing posts that show IP in a negative light. Any questioning of this leads to a ban. Theory outlined here, where a clip of IP friendly streamer DjPanz was removed. A post 3 months after the IP ban was brought into effect, this post telling users that the IP subreddit had been quarantined, was allowed to remain here

In the leaked DMs it is confirmed that moderators wanted Ice Poseidon banned for a while before actually holding a vote for it, but wanted to hold off to avoid backlash, they then took advantage of a backlash in the community to hold their vote

It is also confirmed in these leaks that moderators wanted Ice Poseidon banned from the subreddit due to vote manipulation, yet in these leaks you can see moderators asking for others to brigade their own posts with upvotes

Leaks also shows the LSF mods discussing banning all users from the /r/Ice_Poseidon community from their subreddit here.

There's also some complaints that the LSF mods are banning anyone posting leaks on the Ice_Poseidon subreddit.

Discussion of "nabbing a poster's IP" from an upload site here.

It’s now been discovered that LSF mods encouraged each other to “brigade” certain comments/threads Reddit post | Image Link

Another post on /r/Ice_Poseidon showing LSF Moderators attempting to find the Identity of an IP fan.

Side note: The main LSF Moderator also used to mod a Jailbait subreddit, before it was deleted by Reddit. Reddit link | imgur link

Update: In addition to this, a conversation has been leaked regarding mods discussing "Jessi Slaughter Nudes" when she was underage. Which can be found here

I want to thank the moderators of /r/SubredditDrama for helping my improve my post and making sure it is in line with the rules of this subreddit.

Also a thanks to /r/Ice_Poseidon and /r/IPCJ for finding some of the info in this leak.

Please post comments below as the leaked DM's are massive in quantity and there is probably some information that I missed

As of right now, 3 moderators have left the team on /r/livestreamFail yet there has been no official response

UPDATE: A LSF Moderator shown in various screenshots has responded to claims in an IP thread in which he defends his actions, admitting that he did doxx someone, for "sending him a threatening PM" Reddit Post | Imgur Album

In this thread, /r/news discusses the story of a resident at the Cleveland Clinic who was expelled from the program due to tweets in which she described Jewish people as "worse than Nazis" and said that she would "give the wrong meds" to Jews. She's of Palestinian origin. The tweets surfaced due to an Internet group called "Canary Mission", which exposes people with anti-Semitic or anti-Israel opinions online.

This maelstrom of drama-inducing subjects of course induced drama:

Just waiting on so-called the free speech warriors to descend on the thread.

Kollab’s anti-Semitic comments were first documented by Canary Mission, a group that examines social media accounts to find anti-Semitic and anti-Israel remarks. Something about this doesn't sit well.

Canary Mission is a group that mostly targets US college students and academics and attempts to get them kicked out of school or fired from their job by construing comments supporting Palestine and/or critical of the Israeli government as being anti-Semetic. It publishes on it's websites a "blacklist" of students that it accuses of anti-Semetism.

Ok, this person is fucked up and was rightly fired but the story left out the part about who actually found out about these tweets.

Canary Mission is basically a doxxing/harassment group who targets pro-Palestine activists and anyone it deems to be anti-Israel as well as anyone supporting boycotting of Israeli goods.

Israeli internal security have used Canary Mission data to target activists visiting and living in Israel for arrest and harassment. They're basically a doxxing outfit for the pro-Israel camp.

One user takes it upon himself to defend her anti-Semitism because she's Palestinian... until he discovers she was born in the US, which somehow voids her case:

If she's actually from Palestine as some commentors have mentioned she has license to make such comparisons. Israel is an apartheid state to anyone who cares enough to see it. Israel has become what its ancestors were victim of.

And as such I wont fault her bigotry since it comes from experience and not irrational hate.

The difference is that a white supremacist has no real reason to feel the way they do. If you're the victim of crimes of oppression I wouldn't hold your bigoted views against you as I would some angsty little shit from Arkansas. Now it turns out that she's born and raised in America and as such has no personal standing to say these things.
