2/2 Please note I began by asking about demonization - "apartheid" "Jim Crow" "genocide" etc - of Israel. Demonization, especially since untrue and esp since it targets Israel unfairly, seems to play into very ugly tropes about Jews. Taps into some historic subconscious hatred...

When one treats the world's sole Jewish-majority state differently from other states, when one denies Jewish history (PA and Hamas), when one seeks to undermine Jews' right to self-determination, because they're Jews, that's antisemitism. But while some criticism is legitimate>

How were Israeli-Arabs prevented from driving on those roads? Israel always identified cars by license plate. And as evidence, I'll point you to a...B'Tzelem report and the IDF's response to it. Nowhere do either agree with your statement:

2/2 So we know he denied the Holocaust. We know he's a liar. I'm going by B'Tzelem's statement. Notably, B'Tzelem never published its promised follow-up. So you employed a Holocaust denying liar. How did you not notice? Why did you not remove the reports on which he worked?

Um, why would I spin? He didn't work for me. He worked for you. He was senior enough to be sent as a tour guide for a German researcher. And BTzelem fired him because it was clear he not only said it, but then lied about it.

Some can. Small number who apply for citizenship tend to be approved - not all, but a majority. Most don't apply. But that doesn't change the fact that Israel annexed Jerusalem. Also, those who accept the Arab ethnic cleansing of Jews in 1948 should look hard in the mirror.

No, he's right. She was known in very small leftist circles. And the soldiers' initial reaction of doing nothing to her was the correct one. Whoever decided to be macho about this, arrest her and take her through to prison caused her celebrity. Total stupidity. Should be fired.

On Saturday, in the center of Berlin (Rosenthaler Platz), two men stopped a non-Jewish Dutch national and asked him in English if he is Jewish. He questioned why they were asking. They beat him. As I’ve stated many times, the victims of are often not Jewish.

3/3 Would you kindly tell me whether you believe that demonization of Israel and Israelis, in this case by comparing the country inaccurately to a real apartheid state, qualifies as antisemitic? If not, do you believe that any propaganda that serves your goals is legitimate?

/2 Aw heck, I can't resist. A second question. You're quoted here (found it thanks to NGO-Monitor's site) as extolling the term "apartheid" re Israel although you acknowledge it's inaccurate, and also misstate that some roads are "Jew-only" (they're not)>

Apologies. I'll know in the future. While you're here though, I have a serious question. Feel free to pass it on to Elad. You employed a senior researcher who was a Holocaust denier. After some pressure you fired him. Why hasn't B'Tzelem removed all reports on which he worked?

8/8 So guess what certain Europeans together with key players in leftist NGO circles in Israel have decided they must do in order to preserve their ability to pressure Israel against its own citizens' democratic choices? That's right, attack a very effective critic: NGO Monitor.
