How are they not asking this about men? Right because we still assume that a man leading has a woman taking care of that pesky personal life but a woman is expected to do it all

Weird that a dude who wants to heavily regulate women’s sex lives might not have any respect for women.

Let me better explain this to you. Hours after a stranger shot IN HIS APARTMENT, police got a search warrant to search HIS APARTMENT. They began their investigation into HIS MURDER by searching through HIS belongings.

Without people like Judith Plaskow pushing for Jewish feminist theology and challenging the Christian feminists to consider alternative visions of the divine that conversation too would have been more narrow, partly because Judith pushed for inclusion more generally.

And if you look at historians work such as Marion Kaplan and Paula Hyman they were looking at Jewish experience and pushing back against the idea that women did not work which was part of the broader feminist conversation about the place of women. Again not the only ones.

At conferences I attended, there were often Jewish caucuses that met separately and discussed all sorts of issues. There were feminists working on Judaism as well as general feminist with Jewish identities and they would talk about what it meant to have a Jewish voice

I think that the Jewish feminists were among the vocal white (no we did not do a good job on racial/ethnic diversity) pushing back on the hegemony of feminism. At conferences in the early 1990s the Jewish feminists demanded a more expansive and inclusive vision of womanhood
