This morning, we visited the Ridge Hospital where she interacted with mothers and children, and donated items to the hospital, which included a top of the range phototherapy machine, a welcome addition to the Neo-Natal Ward at the hospital.

In Ghana, as well as in other West African Countries, we have been quite successful with dealing with stigma by using persons living with HIV as ambassadors for promoting healthy lifestyles and showing people that there is life after HIV. (7a)

We know too well that stigmatisation Of persons living with AIDS and families affected can derail or slow the pace of progress in the fight against HIV/AIDS. It is important to note that fighting the stigma and discrimination are key to achieving the 90-90-90 agenda. (6)

The path to a future free of HIV/AIDS also lies in stopping new infections among children and adolescents. Outreach activities need to be intensified through frequent community outreach programs where are youth can access non-judgmental services. (5)
