Absolutely. It’s really hard to even talk about this offline as I don’t know which ‘friends’ would agree with that person / understand why it has bothered me so much. It’s incredibly isolating.

He just said it was happening.
I pushed and said, 'in what way is this happening? In mass shootings? In concentration camps?' & he just said yeah...
He clearly knows very little about the situation but it still stung like a slap in the face.

Yeah, it really devastated me to be honest, he also said that the Jews should have learned from the Holocaust & when I pointed out how problematic that was he was like like, ‘naaah’.

I have to say that being a Zionist Jew in a non-Jewish world can be incredibly hard.
Today I had an interaction with a friend who told me that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians.
It’s exhausting and I’m emotionally drained from this never ending fight.

Frances was speaking out against lgbt boycotts of israel when it’s the most lgbt friendly country in the Middle East. It doesn’t mean Israel doesn’t have issues (ALL countries do) but she makes a very very valid point.

No one is saying homophobia doesn’t exist in Israel. Children are disowned and trans people are attacked in the UK & US too, or didn’t you know that?
What you responded is a weak argument when faced with Hamas’ murder of lgbt people. Try again.
