And our winner, 55 minutes after our initial call for help, is ! Looks like a match with the power plant in the background -- Zeran, north of Warsaw. Hopefully we'll be able to publish our investigation involving this photograph in 2018.

Caveat: this photograph also could be in Greece, Bulgaria, or Georgia, but we cannot tell if the cross on the steeple is Orthodox or not. If this is indeed an Orthodox cross (resolution is low, sadly), then it obviously is not likely to be in the Germany, Switzerland, or Denmark.
